I think the pick would have been better served elsewhere and we could have replaced grossman or not - its not like grossman is a sought after commodity and he basically has said he has no problem sticking around and being the backup.
You said urself the team is no better or worse at second string qb so why the pick?

a serviceable backup (Rexy) who came in because McNabb couldn't run the two minute drill and proceeded to get a sack/fumble. Look, maybe Grossman plays better than Cousins yesterday maybe not, but I am as content with him coming in as I would be with Grossman. Grossman is a 50/50 passer, maybe he won yesterday, maybe he throws the exact same picks Cousins threw. I don't know, but long term we might as well let Cousins see the field and get reps. Grossman, I still don't know why he is here at this point.
