any 16.5 32/33 or 17 32/33 seems to be have been made for a large-waisted man. the slim fit/super slim fit/fitted/etc. aren't even close, either. i don't think i'm uncommonly slender, i've actually gained 25 pounds since i moved to ca. 5'10" 175-180 lbs w roughly 33"-34" waist.
