I get that NoVA salaries are higher than most places in the country, but spending 4 hours of my life in traffic every day isn't worth the reward. My job got moved to Maryland about 2-3 years ago... I made it only a few months and a couple 3 hour commutes until I left.

I live in Woodbridge and commute about 20 miles to Alexandria 5 days a week and it usually takes me 45 min-hour if it's normal traffic. If there's an accident or even a cop on the side of the road it could delay me 15-30 min. I'm used to it by now though.
