RG-3 is solid but Kehl is the kind of impact player that comes along once ( or twice) in a lifetime.

How do claims work? First one in gets the player?

Really surprised we put a claim on him although in the right fit he was a steal money and cap wise. Low risk high reward I guess.

Edit: also amazing that some people who are laughing at the thought of signing Babin have not noticed we run a 4:3 sometimes??
,
The reason I didn't want him is because the article I read said he typified the overpaid underacheiving players on the Eagles. It also said I believe it was 2 players playing better at his position.

Not denying an off year but sometimes that shit can be contagious on a team like the Eagles. Change of scenery to a division rival - i figured it would motivate him. Oh well. I knew he wasnt going to make it to us on waivers but his money situation and our lack of a pass rush made it appealing imo.

ESPN SC NFL - Raiders LB Rolando McClain (1st-rd pick in 2010) informed he will be released on Thursday - Clayton

This thread should be devoted to him now. Much better than babin, in terms of could help this team more than 5 games

Well the new sheriff did try to claim him. This wouldnt be on par with a bruce smith deal imo. There would have been no huge contract. This was a cheaper stop gap type move to help the passrush as we make a playoff push. When Rak came back he would have been gone.

Agreed. Babin would have been a hired gun. This guy "sounds" like he could be the answer at mlb. Just a little curious why he struggled this year and why Oakland wants him gone?

Doesn't get along with coach Allen, came to camp overweight, gun episode, etc.
