I think in that moment he was just really deflated and felt like the season was slipping away. Maybe his comments ruffled some feathers but more than anything I think what really helped was having the bye week.

After the first Giants game I think that loss took the wind out of our sails for a few games there and you could tell with the way we played against Pitt and Carolina. We got our mojo back after the bye.
