3. Rock Cartwright and Nehemiah Broughton are "fighting to see who will be the third down back". Here's the deal. Cut both of these lumps of mediocrity and bring back a 35-40 year old Brian Mitchell to fill that role.

Dont think Mich fits the bill even in his heyday. Mich is HoF no question - just not as a goaline / short yardage back.

Imo the whole offseason (roster wise) was directed at getting more physical at the point of attack (special teams) from Rabach to Nemo, White to the plethora of TEs we have brought in, they are here to knock to folks off the ball (just about everyone inculding these guys is good at special teams). And that specific physicalness (don't think that is a word...but you get the point) at the point of attack is why Nemo wins and Mich, as great as he was, is not what we need.
