alex smith is 100% worth a 2nd rounder if your team doesn't have a QB worth an ish.

the draft class looks bad at QB with no immediate impact players (and yes, you can always get lucky, but do you want to take a 5% chance of success with your job on the line?).

the KC team has talent (pro bowlers et al), so it'd be nice if they could guarantee competent quarterbacking for a roster that's not as bad as it looked last year.
