Robert Johnson
Others who have been to the games would probably have better insight on this, but I'm really liking what I've seen from Robert Johnson. As a receiver he's ok, but I've been impressed by his blocking. Could be the blocking TE we thought we had with Rasby last year

Re: Robert Johnson
I couldn't quite make out who it was, but it was definitely a TE I saw out there throwing some huge blocks. It might have been Johnson. Speaking of good blocks, Cooley seemed MUCH improved over last year. He completely obliterated this one DE Friday night.

Re: Robert Johnson
His one reception of the game was terrible. He caught a ball just past the first down marker on 3rd and short. Then he tried to make a move and lost two yards, and rather than just dropping and getting the first down from forward momentum he tried to regain the marker and had the ball knocked loose. He recovered his own fumble, but he ended the drive (I believe it was Brunell's second drive).
I didn't notice if he was blocking well or not, this was the only play where I noticed him. I can see where this was an "effort" type of mistake so it probably won't count too much against him, but it was rather painful to watch. |

Re: Robert Johnson
I saw Baber making some nice blocks as well, maybe he ends up on the practice squad.
