Sure but, conventional thinking is that the "backup" money used to sign Pashos, Trueblood, Kehl, and Golston could've landed a true starter without injury bugs and/or baggage. Money is tight; so tight that the money being spent now should be used to sign the rookies. That's why I think more roster cuts and contract renegotiating are looming.
