Also wonder what RB Chris Johnson and WR DeSean Jackson are thinking now that another player has found a way around the "30 percent" rule. Great point by Schefter. The 30% rule is lining some players with LOTS of upfront money, I wonder if anybody expected that. [waiting for a post from Smoot, Schneed, or Gtripp.] |

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 8)
So with the Release of Marko Mitchell, the coaching staff clearly feels that going into this CURRENT season with experience is gonna produce better results. I know the MAJORITY of ppl dont wanna see T.O. here. But does anyone think Joey Galloway (im not even gonna get into Bobby Wade here) was the best EXPERIENCED receiver available? What about Laveranues Coles? I want Galloway to produce for us but he is much older than Coles and he couldnt even succeed in the Patriots pass happy offense.

RT @RickMaese: Here's more. Check it out. RT @JohnNiyo: Lions claim WR Marko Mitchell from #Redskins DETNEWS | Weblogs | Lions Blog Interesting that a good number of the guys we cut get picked up pretty quick. PJ Hill, Marko, ARE, and a couple others I don't remember. |

I hope Marko doesn't win the No.2 job over there and burn us in "revenge". Calvin Johnson is already plenty to worry about.

Every team has 5th receivers, 3rd or 4th backs, etc. If ours end up better that's good. |

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 8)
Has there been any more talks with the Saints about Jammal Brown recently? I realize Trent Williams was drafted to be the LT this year, but with Stephon Heyer looking more and more like a stop-gap RT it would be nice to have a proven LT and let Williams develop at RT as he did in college. Also, has anyone heard any rumors regarding Chester Pitts? He was released by the Texans but before his injury last season he was a consistent starter. He knows Kyle Shanahans system already and would be a nice addition if he would agree to play RG.
