As for if the team wins or loses, Gibbs won with scabs over the Cowboys in the strike year. I actually believe Rivera has assembled a similar cast. You play the hand your dealt. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
The “both sides” argument is more BS. There’s only one answer here that makes sense, get vaccinated and end this thing. It would/should have been over by now. Stop making this a political football.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Agree, there's only one side making this political. It's the side that's trying to convince themselves there's actually a good reason to not get vaccinated. aka, the dumbs

Australia has a 15% vaccination rate. Germany has a 52% Vax rate The US has a 50% Vax rate France has a 48% Vax rate Canada has a 59% Vax rate Here are 2 graphs: world deathrate from beginning til now and us death rate from beginning til now The political catch phrases and jargon are just that jargon to stir up anxiety and fear in the masses one way or the other. We should be better than that. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
I learned today there are at least 3 covid lists.
1 - Unvaccinated, test negative but came in close contact. 5 days away if you dont test positive. That is Payne. 2 - Unvaccinated and test positive. 10 days away if you test positive for covid. Contact tracing begins. 3 - Vaccinated and test positive. Stay away while contact tracing is done. Must have negative test 24 hours apart then can rejopin team. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...inated-players https://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...gton-football/ https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-covid-1...cancelled-game I am guessing vaccinated players can be in close contact with someone who tests positive and not be put on a list as long as they test negative. |

What's interesting is the rejection of the vaccine doesn't divide along party lines. It divides along educated vs uneducated lines. North Philadelphia's poorest zip codes, where I work, are 35% vaccinated. Arkansas, 35% vaccinated. One votes entirely Democrat, the other votes entirely Republican. But what they have in common? Low levels of education, and inability to accept empirical information when presented, either due to lack of adequate intelligence to decipher its meaning, or due to willful ignorance.

Sorry if 6 graphs showing the deaths over time in relation to the 5 countries vax rates I mentioned in the text is indecipherable to you - though I am as positive it wasn't really indecipherable, or spamming, as I am that you would be never bogged down by 6 graphs given the work in statistical analysis and cap number sheets you have done on this site alone. To be clear, my point in showing the graphs, was to show that regardless of country policy, or vax rate, this virus has a course to run. A side point is that the NFL setting different standards for vax vs unvax'd will have 0 effect on the course of the virus. They do it for political purposes, and more importantly, they do it to give the general public an enhanced feeling of security so that they can fill up the stadiums for revenue purposes. |
