Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
I'm surprised we don't already have a separate thread for this, but here we are. I'll lead with this piece of news, we are 1 of 4 teams left that have under 50% of the roster vaccinated.
https://apnews.com/article/sports-fo...0dc6c20b787c79 Guess bringing in that Harvard educated vaccine specialist didn't help.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Seems odd to me that of a 90 man roster and an NFL threshold of 75%, that is 22 players who dont need to be vaccinated to pass the threshold or basically the entire starting lineup. So with less than 50% vaccinated, even if the entire starting lineup aren't vaccinated there is still a significant number of second stringers who haven't gotten the vaccination yet. Given the amount of competition at each position, vaccine status will be an issue in the final cuts , however much the NFL/PA say it wont be. I didn't think this would be an issue until they cut down to the final 53.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Not a good look at all. It's going to be really pathetic if this costs us even 1 game.

And this gives the media something to feed on during camp. You can bet it's going to be a constant topic of conversation.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Too many people out there getting their "facts" from Facebook memes. What a toxic dump FB has become.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
It's a perfect storm of distrust. Not just conservatives that distrust the government/don't believe in COVID, but minorities too have a well-deserved reason to distrust the gov't. It's similar at my job, basically every conservative here has no intention of being vaccinated and minorities are the same way. Not saying that's the case here but that's my perception from the outside looking in.
Shame as you would think Ron's health would make him more susceptible and they would do it for him.

This kinda bothers me too. Guys will take years off their life doing anything to gain an edge from a competitive standpoint, but they won't take a shot.

Stop making excuses, it’s absolute nonsensical as minorities can’t get IDs for voting

Had a co-worker test positive recently. She's anti-vax, anti-masks, just did some major traveling. Needless to say nobody feels bad for her.

If you want to respond take it to the appropriate forum. Not trying to jack this thread up. Minorities don't trust the government dating back to the last 100 years because the government has enacted laws that discriminated against them in that time. If you think that doesn't play a factor idk what to tell you.

Let's make voter ID cards that also track your vax status and watch conservative heads explode lol

Transparency. Sounds good to me. Of course a paranoid conspiracy theorist who doesn’t believe there is enough transparency and thinks there is some secret agenda will have major problems with this. Ironic to say the least… |
