Re: George Foreman Grill
I have a Weber BabyQ for everything. It's compact and works great.

Re: George Foreman Grill
LOL.. we just donated 2 Foreman grills to GoodWill. The only thing we ever had luck cooking on them were hot dogs.
Other than than, inconsistent hot spots made cooking an exercise in futility. And as everyone else has said, they're a royal pain to clean. Glad to have tossed them!

Re: George Foreman Grill
I'm a big fan of a good old fashioned hot iron. Set the steam on medium and you're good to go

Re: George Foreman Grill
We have one and have used it twice. WE tried large shrimp and tuna. I was sorry that I had wast good food. The shrimp was tough and the tuna was just bad. The only reason I used it was because it was raining about as hard as I've ever seen. I'll stick with my gas grill its just as quick if times an issue and if times not an issue I can take an all night grilling and drinking beer. I just can't get into standing around a forman grill drinking beer there's just something wrong with that. It does cook good sandwiches and burgers are not bad so I guess it has its usses.

You won't have to scrape ever again. In fact, just wipe it with a wet paper towel after cooking with a foil-lined grill and you're clean. Don't forget to put the foil on the bottom AND lay a sheet on top of the food when you close it. Also, you need to make sure the corners route the drippings into the tray instead of on your counter, but I've been doing this for years and it works GREAT. It made me want to use my GF grill more since I didn't have to worry about the cleanup. Yep, I love my GF grill. I've cooked about everything you can imagine on it. |

Re: George Foreman Grill
I've gotten good steaks from it. You just have to open it and add some more juices or marinating sauce to it while you're cooking it. Of course you'll get leather if you drain all of the juices out of the meat...it's all in the preparation.
I especially love grilled chicken from it. The grill is great for grilling chicken breast cubes or strips to add to fettuccini alfredo or some kind of pasta dish. The chicken/cheese quesadillas come out great on the grill too. |

Hey, if you marinate it right, any heat source will cook it fine. |

Re: George Foreman Grill
yeah, if it's a cheap steak, i'll marinate it in italian dressing, or one of the marinades from Lowry's and grill it on the Foreman. Anything else won't see anything but my charcoal grill.
