Steve Czaban Article

I feel like i take up for Czaban alot, b/c usually he sais what i think (for the most part). I am a fan and I've been usually disappointed for the better part of 15 years only to renew hope every offseason. There are worse owners out there and I've got to believe that Snyder wants to win badly enough that he'll do anything, even change a little.

As tough as I am on Danny boy, I have to agree, I really think he wants to build a winner in the tradition of the 80's teams he grew up watching. Unfortunately someone has gotten it into his head that you can build a winner by going out and pulling your scouting reports straight out of Street and Smith's Fanatasy Football Guide. if there is a splash to be made, he'll be the first one to attempt the cannonball.

Notice he says "High Priced." When we signed Washington we got him for a very reasonable price and no one expected him to play this well. He was just a regular free agent that panned out to be great. 6 year 25 mil really isn't that large of a contract for the 'skins.

It's not a role player $$ either. Two years ago that was a pretty nice sized deal for a LB. We didn't overpay for once, but it wasn't chump change either.

Czaban's right. While I agree that we didn't sign him for a pittance, Washington certainly wasn't a high priced FA acquisition. In terms of guaranteed money, Washington got a contract of lesser value than what Pierce got from the Giants last year.

The high priced FAs being referred to by Czaban are Deion, Bruce Smith, Coles, Hall, Renaldo Wynn (sorry, had to get my shot at him), Tupa, Brunell, Carter, AA, Lloyd, etc.

Umm guys, not only did free agent Washington make the Pro Bowl, but free agent Coles did too.

As for Czabe, what's this about their my team when they win but not when they lose? If they're your team, they're your team win or lose.

Restricted or not, a free agent is a free agent.

That was addressed...Coles was not a FA signee, we had to trade to get him (give something to get something).

Wow, a restricted free agent is considered a trade by you guys? That's odd. I guess we should call it a restricted trade then. I wonder who the genius was that called that a free agent signing?

Hey, even found an article that is interesting. It says "worth every penny".

Sorry Bill B., but I do agree that Washington is high priced, but even if you don't, you can't deny Coles.

Oh I mean Coles was restricted and we had to give up a first rounder to get him so he doesn't apply I don't think.
