i do not want Vincent back. couldn't cover anyone, and all he did while here was block a kick. and some of you guys are spending alot of money. there still is this thing called the salary cap, isn't there?

Yup...Carlos is a beast he just needs so fine tuning, like...catching among other things...

02-09-2007 06:29 PMdall-assblowsbut i agree carlos will be a stud next year. i say 6 ints. he will still drop 2.

i read somewhere that he is training with darrell green and the one and only dieon "prime time" sanders.

they will teach him to catch.

Really? wow....thats crazy. Hadnt heard that before....

i think griffen is getting a free pass from many people on here. he was pretty darn bad last year and i think we need to even look for a replacement for him, maybe moving him to passing situations

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007

I am going to break the seal!

1CB - Springs
2CB - Rogers
NB - Smoot!
FS - Grim Reaper
SS - T. Vincent
DB - K Wright (becomes a starting CB by week 6)

SLB - Mongoose Washington
MLB - L. Fletcher
WLB - Lemar/Rocky

DE - A Carter
DT - Grif
DT - Branch* Golston/Big Joe
DE - Daniels* (or Adams if Branch isn't picked)

Personal Punt protector - Adam "Richest Safety in the league" Archuleta

I predict that Wynn is cut for cap reasons.

I think Vincent as well as all of the secondary will be fine if they can get a little pressure from the front 7. Vincent's price is pretty reasonable and he is a Great (not good) locker room presence.

Every single player on the defense was pretty bad last year. Springs was probably the best one, but he hardly played.

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007

If the coaches really had some stones and creativity they would let Taylor split time as a LB and let Archuleta play some FS.

The guy is getting a 5 million dollar roster bonus, you have to find a way to get him in the game...

March, the best time to be a Skins fan.... <sigh>

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007

I think that we need to switch to a 3-4 ...
From there we can move Adam Archuletta to Middle Linebacker.. He has the skills to stop the run and can be a good pass ruser. His coverage skills are good enough to pick up backs and tight ends. Prielou can be other saftey he had a good year in 05. The rest fills in from there with much of the same starters from last year and of course a solid first round rookie on th d-line.

there was a reason that archie was changed to a safety, he was a linebacker in college, and i assume he either didnt have the measurables or couldnt shed blockers. we dont have the personell for a 3-4. carter is too small for a 3-4 end and not fast enough for a 3-4 linebacker (he was bad the year he did it). none of our DT's are 3-4 nosetackle quality, we'd need to take branch and have to get rid of a lot of guys. williams is a 4-3 coordinator and it will stay that way

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007

CB: Rogers/ Smoot
CB:Springs
NB:Smoot/ Rogers (free agent)
OLB:Rocky/ Marshall
MLB:Washington
OLB:A.Thomas (free agent)
DE: Daniels
DT: Griffin
DT: Adams (draft)
DE: Carter
FS: Sean/ Arch
SS Prioleau/ Arch
That is the type of situation I see happening, I don't want that that... what I would want to happen would be this;

DE:Carter
DT:Griffin
DT:Kris Jenkins (Free Agent)
DE:Phillips
OLB:Rocky/ Marshall/ Arch
MLB:Paul Posluzny Draft
OLB:Washington
CB:Springs
CB:Rogers/ Smoot
NB:Smoot/ Rogers
FS:ST/Arch
SS: Michael Griffin S 6' 205 Texas (draft)/ Prioleau

Or take Branch and trade back into the 1st to get Pouluzny then try and get Ryan Clark back.

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007

if fred smoot wants to be a starter, you can't make him the nickel back and expect it to work. and that's IF he gets released and wants to come back.
