Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007
I thought it would be fun to play fantasy GM and put together the Defense for the Redskins next year. Feel free to post your own.
DT: C. Griffin DT: A. Branch* (Draft pick) DE: P. Daniels DE: A. Carter SLB: M. Washington MLB: Kawika Mitchell WLB: R. McIntosh/L. Marshall CB: N. Clemets* (Free Agent) CB: C. Rogers FS: S. Springs SS: S. Taylor NB: T. Vincent Obviosly you can throw in draft picks and free agents that you think the Redskins might acquire.

DT: C. Griffin DT: k. Golston DE: J. Anderson DE: A. Carter SLB: M. Washington MLB: L. Fletcher-Baker(why aren't talking about him as an option?) WLB: R. McIntosh/L. Marshall CB: Clememts(i guess. i have no other good option for a #1. Harper would be a nice addition from Indy but I don't think he is a #1) CB: C. Rogers FS: S. Springs SS: S. Taylor NB: Prioleau/Vincent(Pierson is back and he plays well in this scheme.) |

Wait until next year when my boy has like 4-5 INTs. I'm going to give you so much crap.

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007
My thoughts are a slight hybrid of the two so far with an addition.
DT: C. Griffin DT: A. Branch* (Draft pick) DE: P. Daniels DE: A. Carter SLB: M. Washington MLB: BPWG* (Best Player We Get Draft or FA) WLB: R. McIntosh/L. Marshall CB: N. Clemets* (Free Agent) CB: C. Rogers FS: S. Springs (Pass) /A. Arch.* (who unfortunately will be back so use him for obvious runs and to give Springs a rest to keep him healthy.) SS: S. Taylor NB: P. Prioleau/T. Vincent

Springs is still a cornerback. He is not moving yet.

Yes sir, Rogers is going to be a stud next year. We can't have it both ways, bitch about not building through the draft yet don't give people time to develop.

He's going to be our No. 2 next year no matter what. If we sign a stud like Clements, Springs will play off the bench. This is a GOOD thing. It's called depth.

Yup...Carlos is a beast he just needs so fine tuning, like...catching among other things... 02-09-2007 06:29 PMdall-assblowsbut i agree carlos will be a stud next year. i say 6 ints. he will still drop 2. i read somewhere that he is training with darrell green and the one and only dieon "prime time" sanders. they will teach him to catch. Really? wow....thats crazy. Hadnt heard that before....

Re: Depth Chart Predictions: Defense 2007
DT: C. Griffin, K. Golston, D. Evans
NT: J. Salevea, A. Branch* (Draft pick), A. Montgomery DE: J. Smith (Free Agent), R. Wynn, D. Evans DE: A. Carter, P. Daniels SLB: M. Washington, Someone Else MLB: London Fletcher-Baker (Free Agent), Lemar Marshall, Khary Campbell WLB: Rocky McIntosh, Lemar Marshall CB: N. Clements* (Free Agent) CB: C. Rogers FS: S. Taylor, Reed Doughty SS: A. Archuleta, P. Prioleau NB: S. Springs, A. Jimoh, Someone Else I think Archuleta wins the S job in camp, over Prioleau. Andre Carter's leash shortens considerably if we sign Justin Smith (Blache loves Daniels, and he's going to be playing his more comfortable position of rush end). Also, I think we'd likely cut Wynn to make room for him, but I left him on the DC anyway. Springs will play SOME Safety, but his primary roll will be as a corner in nickel packages, moving Carlos to the slot reciever. Dont forget that Grilliams already signed Fletcher to be his MLB once. Hopefully this unit will play the way it was supposed to last season and we take the East.
