Re: Santana vs. Randy

Overall, Randy Moss has the better looking career numbers, but if I had to choose one to be on the team right now, it'd definitely be Santana. If Randy Moss was on the team last season, dealing with the lack of a passing attack, he would have been all over Sportscenter bitching about how the team is poorly coached, just like he did with the Raiders.

And while I don't think Santana has quite the speed or hops that R. Moss has, his ability to adjust to the ball is better than probably any receiver in the league. That's a much bigger asset to a young quarterback than bitchy receiver that gives up on routes whenever he feels like it.

Off the Top of My Head and In no particular order, the top 15 receivers (give or take a few) in the league. So you are telling me Moss is at the bottom of that? Who would you take over him (not counting age)? Smith, Holt, C. Johnson, Harrison, Fitzgerald, maybe Andre Johnson (who would be a real stud on a better team). So that still puts you at #7 on a bad day, but I guess you could make the argument for #9 or 10 . . . certainly not out of the top ten though.

Steve Smith
Chad Johnson
Marvin Harrison
Reggie Wayne
T.O.
Donald Driver
Torry Holt
Randy Moss
Laverneous Coles
Hines Ward
Andre Johnson
Javon Walker
Fitzgerald
Boldin
Santana Moss
I put in bold the players, who I believe may currently be equal, or maybe better than Santanna Moss. Andre Johnson may have more talent, but he hasnt' gotten the chance to prove it yet because of his bad team. In addition, I believe that Santanna is faster than Randy.

Look at the bottom where it says trade to patriots.
Randy Moss - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Looks to me they're about the same, Santanna may have the edge.

1) Randy Moss is getting old, while Santanna is in the prime of his career.

2) Randy Moss is afraid to get hit, while Santanna constantly goes over the middle and takes shots. I have seen Randy Moss stop running routes before because he knew he was going to get hit. If you doubt me, watch the 2001 NFC Championship game when the Giants spanked Minnesota. He wouldn't even sacrifice his body in a big game.

3) Randy takes plays off, Sanatanna goes hard the entire game.

4) Randy has a huge ego and an attitude problem while Santanna just wants to win.

5) Randy does not have the YAC ability that Santanna has. While Randy may be a better deep ball threat, Santanna is no slouch there either. Brunell to Moss, TD! Brunell to Moss, TD! Does anyone remember that game?

While in the prime of his career Randy may have be better than Santanna, there is no way I'd rather have him on the Skins than Santanna right now.

You're asking Redskins fans, on a Redskins forum to pick between Randy and Santana!?!?! ... stop the madness...

Re: Santana vs. Randy

hey, in Brady's Bedtime Buddies thread, I wrote that we have the best Moss in the NFL. Grim21Reaper replied to me, "If you are planning to drive please let me know where you are so I can warn everyone I know. You cannot honestly say that Santana Moss is better than Randy Moss."

So, I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Or if Mr. Reaper is the one who should not be driving anywhere.

Re: Santana vs. Randy

You can't compare the two like we have a better Moss because he is younger thing. The Pats did not get Randy to fill a long term need. They saw a guy who could have several good years left in him so they went out and got him. If he gives them 2 to 3 good productive years then I think the Pats will be very happy. One thing he should do is make things easier for the other WR as he will draw the attention

I personally think Santana is a very good #2 WR. But I don't think he is a pure number one.

I strongly disagree with this statement. I honestly don't understand how you can say that. He started in the pro bowl 2 season ago. Have you seen the man play?

Re: Santana vs. Randy

Okay, I wrote that when I first woke up and it didn't come out right. No way he's bottom 10-15 in the league. He's ranked somewhere between 10-15 at his best, IMO.

In no particular order: C. Johnson, Boldin, Fitz, J. Walker, Chambers, Andre Johnson, Harrison, Wayne, Roy Williams, Steve Smith, Tory Holt, Moss. I'm sure I missed some, but I just did it off the top of my head.

Re: Santana vs. Randy

I can understand some of those but Walker, Chambers, and Williams, are you sure about that?

Re: Santana vs. Randy

Chambers??

Dude drops about 30 balls a year and he's only had one 1000 yard season. I have a buddy who's a big Dolphins fan and he's constantly bitching about Chambers saying he'll make all the circus catches but he can't hang on to a routine 10 yard hitch for a first down.

He's way too inconsistent to place amongst the elite WRs.

Very respectful list, but I still take Tanna Man over them all....except Steve Smith.

Re: Santana vs. Randy

Walker and WIlliams I'm sure of. Walker is a beast. Roy and Chris Chambers have the same problem: if we give Santana a pass for his QB situation look at these guys along with the lines 'protecting' them. This is a totally subjective argument.

Re: Santana vs. Randy

you guys really think that walker and driver are that good??? They both look good when Farve is throwing them the ball but who wouldnt. Both are quality wide outs but certainly not elite.
