Re: Santana vs. Randy
Overall, Randy Moss has the better looking career numbers, but if I had to choose one to be on the team right now, it'd definitely be Santana. If Randy Moss was on the team last season, dealing with the lack of a passing attack, he would have been all over Sportscenter bitching about how the team is poorly coached, just like he did with the Raiders.
And while I don't think Santana has quite the speed or hops that R. Moss has, his ability to adjust to the ball is better than probably any receiver in the league. That's a much bigger asset to a young quarterback than bitchy receiver that gives up on routes whenever he feels like it. |

Re: Santana vs. Randy
hey, in Brady's Bedtime Buddies thread, I wrote that we have the best Moss in the NFL. Grim21Reaper replied to me, "If you are planning to drive please let me know where you are so I can warn everyone I know. You cannot honestly say that Santana Moss is better than Randy Moss."
So, I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Or if Mr. Reaper is the one who should not be driving anywhere.

Re: Santana vs. Randy
You can't compare the two like we have a better Moss because he is younger thing. The Pats did not get Randy to fill a long term need. They saw a guy who could have several good years left in him so they went out and got him. If he gives them 2 to 3 good productive years then I think the Pats will be very happy. One thing he should do is make things easier for the other WR as he will draw the attention

Re: Santana vs. Randy
I personally think Santana is a very good #2 WR. But I don't think he is a pure number one.

Re: Santana vs. Randy
I strongly disagree with this statement. I honestly don't understand how you can say that. He started in the pro bowl 2 season ago. Have you seen the man play?

Re: Santana vs. Randy
Okay, I wrote that when I first woke up and it didn't come out right. No way he's bottom 10-15 in the league. He's ranked somewhere between 10-15 at his best, IMO.
In no particular order: C. Johnson, Boldin, Fitz, J. Walker, Chambers, Andre Johnson, Harrison, Wayne, Roy Williams, Steve Smith, Tory Holt, Moss. I'm sure I missed some, but I just did it off the top of my head.

Re: Santana vs. Randy
I can understand some of those but Walker, Chambers, and Williams, are you sure about that?

Re: Santana vs. Randy
Chambers??
Dude drops about 30 balls a year and he's only had one 1000 yard season. I have a buddy who's a big Dolphins fan and he's constantly bitching about Chambers saying he'll make all the circus catches but he can't hang on to a routine 10 yard hitch for a first down. He's way too inconsistent to place amongst the elite WRs. |

Re: Santana vs. Randy
Walker and WIlliams I'm sure of. Walker is a beast. Roy and Chris Chambers have the same problem: if we give Santana a pass for his QB situation look at these guys along with the lines 'protecting' them. This is a totally subjective argument.

Re: Santana vs. Randy
you guys really think that walker and driver are that good??? They both look good when Farve is throwing them the ball but who wouldnt. Both are quality wide outs but certainly not elite.
