Re: Dan Patrick Leaving ESPN

I must say, there aren't too many people here at work all that upset that he's leaving (but you didn't hear that from me)

not suprising since he comes across as a bit of a douche on screen. won't be missed by myself. actually pretty much one of the only ones on sportscenter that I like anymore is Scott Van Pelt.

i agree. Patrick was very good on sports center. and sage steel is horrible. watching her on comcast d.c the last couple of years was painful

I often wondered why I haven't seen him do Sportscenter...do you think that ESPN might have thought he was too old and was slowly pushing him out?

Why? Is he a jerk or something?

I still miss the best combo in ESPN history...Oberman and Patrick.

Doesn't really pay much attention to "the little guy" from what I hear. Doesn't treat them with respect.

But again, I've never met him myself. He's rarely around supposedly anyway

Well played.

Now, back to the topic at hand. Skinsfanthruandthru, Scott Van Pelt is pretty cool. I like Brian Kenny a lot and Jay Harris (though not as much on air). But SVP is an option to replace Patrick

Now name the driver that has wrecked the most drivers this year?

I am surprised to hear he seems like a jerk. That's a shame.
I'm going to miss him...he's been a part of my life for many years on my tv. I would miss Berman if he left too...and I hated it when Oberman left.

Good luck Mr. Patrick...I wish you success.

Yeah well, I don't know how many would miss Berman either. But yeah all three have been great for the company from a public perspective

Wow, really? I would have never guessed that. He seems like he is very well liked and respected. That comes as a complete shock.

I'm keeping my finger's crossed that his retirement occurs sooner rather than later as he went from funny about 5-10 years ago to just flat out annoying in a hurry. He just brings nothing of importance to nfl countdown anymore, but he's not so bad during baseball coverage.

I disagree. His antics might wear a little thin from time to time, but he offers the most insight if you ask me.
