On-air SmootSmack! Finally, a commentator who is properly biased towards the world's greatest football team, the Washington Redskins.

Where do we send the email petition? Who should we call? Can we just come down to your work and talk to your boss, Smoot? I'm sure they won't mind...

At least he wasn't caught with pills, weed, nose candy, and a pea shooter on his way to a teeny bopper party.

Damn that sucks. I really enjoy his show.

SS, is he going to host the price is right? I heard that he had been contacted for that.

What makes you say that she sucks? She went from Comcast Sportsnet to ESPN......I'm sure ESPN didn't hire her because she sucks. I actually like her because she would always grill Brian Billick and he'd get pissed. Billick is biggest prick.

Well I would tell you but I'd hate to bore the Carnage's and Skinsfan_nn's of the world. From now let's all just wait for their approval on what to discuss first.

Seriously... SportsCenter would not have the viewership without the anchors. If you just showed 45 minutes of the day's highlights, it wouldn't work. DP wasn't a pioneer in sports journalism, but him and Olbermann were the two that really took sports writing to another level.

If he took it to another level , wouldn't that make him a pioneer? The essence of good writing is avoiding cliche. Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann never passed that simple test. Watch Olbermann on MSNBC. He is full of stock phrases and worn out analogies. They are both boring as hell. If I weren't sure that his absence from T.V. would be short-lived, I would say good-riddance.

Not really, because writing is still writing... the two just made it better, imo. The "schtick" used by SportsCenter anchors has evolved with time.

And we'll just have to agree to disagree re: the quality of their writing. I think Olbermann is a pretty darn good journalist on MSNBC.
