Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview

It has been reported that Nick Saban was seen boarding Redskins 1 followed shortly by Bobby Petrino. Looks like this may be a done deal with Petrino taking over as head coach and Saban replacing GW as the defensive coordinator. They are giving Saunders two weeks to pursue other opportunities. If he decides to part from the Skins, Petrino will also call plays next year.

Sorry no link

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview

I am the mystery candidate!!!!!!!! Mr. Snyder liked my record with the Skins in franchise mode playing Madden '99 and'06. Shoot, I won the SB with Frerotte and Westbrook. My CPU generated QB P Harry threw for 70 TDs and 5,000+ yards one season. I had 2 perfect 16-0 records and damn, more titles than Lombardi and Gibbs combined. Look for the footballs to fly next season no matter who the QB is. Look for a QB and Wr to be drafted also. DE and OG or OT is going to be our first round pick.

I'll certainly be glad when this process is finally complete so the nonsense can cease along with it.

I think that Greg Williams is going to get the job basically to keep the seat warm for Bill Cowher next year but....I think they should have the mentality that Williams can lead the Skins into the playoffs again (which I think he can). Williams has relationships with the defense which is a good thing.

Many will agree with your assessment, but all the constant speculation, rumor after rumor gets to be a bit much aftrer a period of time. It's just time to wait for an anouncement to be made.

The Hamburgler, hmm? No so sure I like that. I understand his entire offensive philosophy is to run around in tight little circles while mumbling incoherently, shortly after which his runner is typically caught five yards behind the line of scrimmage. He was unable to mastermind a simple ground attack that could get past a red-headed idiot wearing clown shoes, a slow footed purple monstrosity-like thing, and a police man with a cheeseburger for a head. How is he going to be successful against formidable NFL defenses?

Yeah, I'm getting bored with this HC chit chat too. Enough of this, let's just wait until someone is hired!

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview

I do not want thte guy and it is a stretch....but has anyone mentioned Jimmy Johnson? It is an extreme long shot, but he did have to work tonight so it would explain why they had to wait for the interview. The only reason to wait leads me to beleive it is one of the assistants on one four teams or someone that has a visible TV job like JJ. Plus he is good with player personnel.
