Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Poor Sellers, I thought he was popular with ppl. This is the second or third thread for a FB, which is crazy!! We have bigger needs than a FB, which we can pick up (a second) FB late in the draft.

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Mike Sellers is one of the best fullbacks in the league. He was the first alternate to the pro bowl for a reason. Anyone who thinks we should replace him is retarded. He can run, catch, and block well.

I'm not sure that people want to replace Big Mike but would rather have more depth at the FB position

The craziest thing I hear is that Sellers can't block over the middle. Which I could believe if: 1. I saw it during the 12 or 13 games I got a chance to watch live from start to finish (Sopcast started to screw me over near the end of the season thank God for the new system of selecting Prime Time games during the second half of the season, the other games I watch the gametrek on NFL.com), or 2. Heard it from a respected analyst.

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
fb is not a need, and if we sign one, it should be a 23 year old in the draft, not a 37 year old that's 180 degrees from what we need for the WCO.
mccree is another average player. signing him really doesn't improve the team much beyond depth, though if he's cheap, he's definitely worth a look there. olivea is good depth and young enough to stick around a while, but i have no idea how much money he wants (which directly affects how much i'd want to sign him), and he wants to start, so we're not exactly his best option (besides that season ending OL curse we've been developing). |

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
We need a proven backup FB that's why I posted this. Sellers is "the man" no doubt. If he gets hurt, then what? Remember the 2007 season when BIG Mike was hurt? Our backups couldn't do the job and it showed during the losses.
