Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Skins should sign both, especially Olivea. He was a pretty good OL and is still young. ESPN - Chargers' Neal, McCree, Olivea enter free-agent market - NFL

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Oh God, another chance for Warpath members to bash Mike Sellers who has been nothing but productive the past few years. Don't know what kind of salary Olivea would want, so I'll wait to see on him.
Sorry Mike Sellers

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
The guy in that headline I'd take, if I had to choose one, would be McCree
Neal is 37 and coming off a broken leg. I would have liked him back in 1998, not now.

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Lorenzo Neal is strictly a blocker and an incredibly gifted blocker.
He is not very good at anything else. He has hands of stone, 8 receptions for 23 yards for the entire year of 2007. In our system the FB has to be a good receiver Mr. Neal sucks as a receiver. He is not suited for our system. Shane Olivea is an interesting player only 26 years old. |

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
We have no need for Neal, maybe if that is a position of need but Big Mike has been holding it down pretty good. And Olivea is probably gonna handle a hefty sized contract, he's young and he's good and that equals a big payday in free agency.

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Adam Schefner had a pretty profound quote on NFL Total Access. He said something along the lines of "those teams that don't do well in the draft are forced to overpay for players in Free agency."

Re: Shane Olivea and Lorenzo Neal cut
Why don't we just sign everyone's rejects. We have NO NEED for a 37 year old FB coming off a broken leg. I'm sure he's 100% healthy but we have Sellers and he can do the job. I don't know much about Olivea other than I believe he's been an effective starter along a pretty good O-line.
