This "might" be one of the best drafts for RBs ever. But only time will tell.

yeah, it is hard to crown a class the best class ever this early on.. alot of players do good their rookie year and then flame out.. If all these rookies that have shown flashes can be consitant and have good years next year, then i can maybe start to think so.. it takes a while to see how good a draft class is, you def cant base it off two games.

dboyz, why don't we sing a song together and put our differences behind us. Momma don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys.......They'll win some games with romo and such........But during the playoffs........They won't do to much.... Sing along with me so we can be friends again.....please.

Re: Are '08 rookies top 5 class ever?
He was terrible at throwing the long ball. Everything was a line drive. I was complaining to my wife that Moss never had enough time to adjust to the ball. I mean, how many times did we see Moss wide open and Campbell threw it with such mustard that Moss couldn't get to it? And the pass in the corner of the endzone last year (I don't remember which game) which ended the game because he threw it on a rope (short distance but same idea) and it got picked off. If he was so good at throwing the long ball, why was our first TD pass to a wide receiver last year so late in the season? And did our receivers get so much better at running routes the moment Collins came in?
That said, the pass to Moss last week had a nice arc to it. I hope he keeps it up. |

Re: Are '08 rookies top 5 class ever?
campbell auburn -
YouTube - Auburn Tigers Football Tribute to Jason Campbell not a single long ball without an arc. his short stuff has always been line drives, and not as accurate as his long ball, so no, it's not the same idea at all. that was a known issue when he was drafted, and he's gotten a lot better at it, but generally you don't touch pass inside 10 yards since it's pointless and speed is the key there. as far as the offensive woes - new offenses take time, and gibbs didn't like calling long balls either... portis and moss were also playing like horses%^& through the beginning of that year. ther's also a difference between overthrowing/throwing hard and whether it's a touch pass or a line drive. ramsey threw straight up line drives and nothing else... ever. just cause you overthrow someone doesn't mean there's no arc. seriously, i'm not sure what you've been watching. got video? youtube of the "line drives"? cause i'm just not seeing this huge problem that you are, and no one else is complaining about it either, just you. |
