Are '08 rookies top 5 class ever?
Guys I know it's only week 2 but isn't it starting to look like this might be one of the best Draft classes of all time? and I'm not talking about Cowboys because it sure looks like we struck GOLD.
But in all, this draft class could be the 3rd best ever behind the '83 and '96 if not the second we will see in a few years but wow it's starting to look 2 good 2 be true I meen have we ever seen a better draft class of RB's you have guys that look like super stars in Run DMC, Johnathan Stewart, Felix Jones, Chris Johnson, Matt Forte and you have others like Ray Rice, Kevin Smith,Steve Slaton that have shown some flashes that they can become big the only RB who hasn't stepped up is Rashard Mendenhall, who many of us Cowboys fans were really upset whe we didn't got him and now we can't be more glad of our front office decision. You have rookie WR's that are looking like 2nd round steals James Hardy, DeSean Jackson, Eddie "Casino" Royal, Jordy Nelson and a lot of names could add up in this list if some of the rookies get some playing time, You got TE like Martellus Bennett who can become and would be a super star if he didn't had Witten in front of him, guys in the secondary that have show some good flashes like, Brondon Flowers, Mike Jenkins, Akib Talib, Rogers DC,Leodis McLovin, Kevin Phillips and Chris Horton have all shown potential then you have guys in defense like Jarod Mayo and Derrick Harvey have made plays early on. I mean you can look all around this draft class and find top players and potential superstars it's just amazing the sad thing about it is that usually when a draft class is this good the next one will suck big time so sorry for the first round pick Last edited by D'BOYZ; 09-17-2008 at 02:23 PM. |

2004 is going to be tough to beat. Except for the Cowboys, that was a rough year for them .
The runnning back class looks like one of the best ever and DeSean Jackson definately looks like a first round talent at WR (but he's not 6' 2", so we dont want him!), but the 1st round quarterbacks have a long way to go obviously.

Totally agree specially on QB's the 04 was/is one of the best and it sure sucked for us we only got Crayton of that draft class we all have had bad drafts but to have one s bad in such a huge one and passing on S.Jackson was to big at first it looked good to us because JJ showed flashes of greatness but we all know what happened to that story |

Re: Are '08 rookies top 5 class ever?
way too early, wait till the 2nd season and you've got film and time to see if some develop injury problems... and next class won't be bad... tebow and crabtree could both end up as top 5 players in the league if they can do in the NFL what you see in college...
that said, the skins sure have been destroying on the 2nd day. starting quality DTs, LB, safeties, colt and decent depth (OL/safety/LB) |

Re: Are '08 rookies top 5 class ever?
and of course this is the best draft, this year and last year were kids my age getting drafted (im 23) allll nasty athletes(im soo kidding)
haha im just kidding, but its still early.. I just hope we build on that win, the Aints arent a pushover team. They are well coached and have good players. You gotta almost feel bad for the Aints because theyve been through alot as a organization and as a state I hope we get some relief next year on the schedule cus i know we've had to have one of the hardest schedules for the last few years. I dont see how a team that went perfect in the reguar season gets one of he easiest schedules the next year?? it's not right.. I've always been confident with Jason Campbell. Your qb isnt going to be awesome all the time, especially when he's young , and having to learn ANOTHER new offfense. People seem to forget alot of the intangibles Campbell brings and he sat behind a good veteran and learn from Brunell and Collins has helped him. OF course, we haven't had a franchise qb since, Sonny Jurgenson? you have people who are VERY impatient and want to bench someone after they struggle or go threw learning curves. Campbell has EVERYTHING you want in a Qb and has shown progress in almost everytime he plays, and thats with a new offense every year, rediculous. The only thing I wish he could work on is his long ball seems very flat. Now what I mean by that is his ball doesn't drop into the Receivers hands, he throws a frozen-rope long ball. I hope he can learn touch to along with that power and accuracy. Yes, the recievers should catch whatever touches their hands but it will def make it a lot easier on them, and thats always good. Re: Are '08 rookies top 5 class ever?
I didnt say it wasnt. He has great arm strenth, but you have not been watching any of the games if you seriously tell me he doesnt have to work on his touch, and touch is not one of his greatest strengths.
He will continue to improve and I will contonue to be happy with his development. We also have a good QB in Colt Brennan waiting in the wings so thats awesome. but yeah, i never said campbell didnt have a good deep ball and again, he DOES need to work on his touch some more, and he knows it. |
