I guess he's happy with the way Rabach mangages the game from that position. I mean, he and I both see the obvious blown blocks (a league leading: 6), and I see the interior line disarray and think, from experience: "Center's not doing his job."

But as an outsider, maybe the interior line screwups aren't his fault. Who else can we blame for untouched rushers on 5 man blitzes? There's no way that Zorn's pass blocking schemes aren't designed to block 5 guys, are they? If Rabach and Kendall/Dockery are doubling on the nose, and the outside linebacker loops and fires in the middle, someone has to pick him up, I would think?

On the tape, it's clear that Campbell identifies these blitzes and EXPECTS* someone to pick them up, but far too often, Rabach stays on his double team. Who is supposed to communicate that pickup, and why don't the Redskins do this?

*Some fans would say he's holding the ball too long, but that's just a lack of understanding. He and the receivers could make adjustments easily, but clearly, no adjustments are necessary from the coaching/quarterback/receiver perspective.
