Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
I can't believe we are thrilled about what the defense did against the winless Chiefs.....Ohh I mean the 1-5 Chiefs. This whole thing is nothing short of EMBARISING.

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
yea our defense is doing well...but im still in wait and see mode. Our strength of schedule so far is the biggest joke I've ever seen. Im pretty confident were going to get crapped on for the next 12 weeks (except for oakland)

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
The D is pretty good. It's hard to have a good D in this league w/ a crap offense. They are on the field the whole game. They've got to defend alot more plays which equals more yardage against them. I don't know that they can hold up when our offense scores 6 pts against the league's worst defense.
Haynesworth has had a very good year so far. Orakpo is very good. Carter has come on as well. Rogers/Hall play to far off of the opponents WR's and not even coaches can explain why. I guess we'll never know. They are ok, but not great. LF is a manbeast. Is Laron Landry still on our team? I forget since i never hear his name. Very good defensive effort. Yes, too bad, since we have a bad offense, again. |

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
Carlos Rogers was just getting chumped all day by Cassel and Bowe. Poor poor game by LOS.

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
Haynesworth was an f-ing animal today. The next coach is going to salivate when they see the tape on him.
They should probably bench Phat Albert the rest of the year and just work on conditioning for next season. Did I mention that I hate Snyder? |

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
A team is a team you win and lose together if the defense or offense plays great and the other side stumbles you'll probably lose 9 out of 10. This is not basketball it is rare that one guy can take over a game if everyone on the other side of the ball is doing their job. Bottom line we are not playing well enough but in response to the thread I think the defense could get a little love this week.

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
Got to give props to the Defense. They know that our offense cant bust a grape and they still give it their all out on the field. Since the Lions game the Defense has stepped up their game. Carlos Rogers is palying weak thus far so you need to step your game up LOS or your ass is gone next season. Albert,Carter, Orakpo, Daniels, and Jarmon put it down. Right now watching the Redskins appears that the defense is out on the field the entire game. This can not be a good sign. Defense keep bringing it on game day.

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
Yeah that's the best sentiment. I hope this d has a good 1-4 years of great football left in it because I feel like minus a few things (LOLB, MLB when Fletcher eventually retires, Daniels when he retires; hopefully Jarmon is ready to be a full time DE by then) we could have the pieces in place for a while. The biggest thing is fielding an offense that can score without having to rely on the d to win the game.

Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?
ditto. A real step up performance would have been shutting them out. (ok 2 points) and scoring a defensive TD. I believe it's now 23 games or so without one. Yes they can keep a 1-5 team out of the endzone, but NE kept Tennessee scoreless. Scoreless. Even our offense could win then.
