17-7 eagles, it's going to be another sloppy ass game for both teams. I think Collins will actually play more than Campbell though.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

I actually think the skins will keep the game pretty close. They always play up or down to the level of their opponents. Now, when I say they'll keep it close, I dont think they will for most of the game. They'll either start fast and then slow off or do the opposite. But at some point in the game, its going to really seem competitive.

Redskins 24, Eagles 17.

Count it.

I don't know why but I have an OVERWHELMING sense of optimism for this game (more than any game so far this year). I have no reason at all for it, but everyone owes me a beer when I'm right.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

With so much uncertainty and turmoil surrounding the team it's difficult to know what to expect. There's just not much to hang your hat on, inconsistency has been the pattern, we'll have to see if all these distractions are going to prove to be a help, or a hindrance.

Prediction:

Redskins 17
Eagles 13

Yeah, that's my "the defense didn't show up" prediction.

13-10 is assuming they look as good as they have the last three weeks.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

After the Eagles got embarrassed by the Raiders, they won't lose this one.

Expect it rough and with no KY.

Eagles - 27
Skins - 13

Yeah, I want to see what Gruden has to say.

This has to have a mental effect on the locker room. They know that the management has handled this Zorn thing terribly.

Lewis has had only one week to work with the offense.

The worst thing that could have happened to the Redskins last week happened, but not in the KC game. The Eagles lost to Oakland.

The Eagles learned a valuable lesson last weekend when they lost to Oakland. Reid as much as admitted that they were looking past the woeful Raiders and were not as prepared as they should have been.

Reid and the Eagles players will not make the same mistake twice.

I could see a score like Eagles 34 Redskins 13 here easily.
And Romo FU again and Dallas looses.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game

I hope the D hangs in there. As we know, the offense is doing terribly averaging 13.2 points a game while the opposing defenses have allowed (on average) 26.1 points/game.

But our defense has allowed 16.0 points/game versus opposing offenses which have averaged 17.3. (Average of the team averages.) So their only holding the opponents to 1.3 points per game below their usual. Only in the Giants game did they do significantly better than that.

So I'm hoping our defense isn't a house of cards.

In general, I'm afraid to make any prediction since my head is telling me things my heart doesn't want to hear.

My post was not a slam in any way, if taken that way I apologize.

That is an honest assessment, if you feel I am wrong in that assessment, I would be interested in hearing your concerns.

And yeah, Romo sucks, I know. I am reminded every week of the season.
