What do you expect in the Philly Game
I expect a very different game from both teams then what we have seen to this point. From the Eagles I expect to see a lot of Vick. It's his first primetime appearance, and I expect AReid will want to show off his guy. I think they will score fairly quickly, and probably lead at half-time. Both their rookie WR and last year's hot ticket will score a TD.
HOWEVER, I think the our offense will put on a MUCH better showing then the last few weeks which will lead to our D will get their first defensive points in eons. Malcolm Kelly is going to be the talk of the town after this game. Sherm Lewis may or may not be a "genius" but he's no slouch, and if he accepted this job, he is not going to go at it half-ass. I think our offense will move with a purpose, and actually score 2 redzone TDs. Orakpo will get 2 sacks this game, AC will get 1.5. Overall, even if it's a one week wonder, we aren't getting beat by Philly this week. 28-24 Skins. |

We fall behind early, and never quite score enough to catch up.
I'm deleting all the Skin losses on my DVR. Maybe we catch a Shanahan sighting?

It's only going to get worse now that we're starting to play teams that have actually won games.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
Well, the Eagles can't block anyone, and we can't block anyone. So with that in mind:
13-10 Redskins.

We'll be blown out at home on national TV. Eagles 34, Redskins 13.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
I was thinking about this game and trying to be objective. Both teams are coming off awful losses. The Eagles trend is they go through a slide around this time of year and it takes them a few weeks to come out of it. The Redskins have had a disappointing season, but the benching of Campbell may give them a wake-up call and a division rival who is struggling could be what they need. Therefore, I could see this game being 41-0 Eagles, 41-0 Redskins or worse, or somewhere in between. As I was looking at the schedule for my knockout pool and narrowing it down to a few games, this was one I looked at and said, NO WAY. If you gave me 30 points either way, I still wouldn't bet on this game.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
Purely from an objective standpoint, it's clear who the better team is & it ain't ours.
However, Zorn kept his job last year w/a win at Philly & Blache knows how to plan for the iggles. I can honestly say that we have a chance, simply because our D can keep us in it. Not saying I expect to win by any means, but I won't be too surprised if we do. My prediction is that we come out fired up, get an early lead but in the 2nd half we can't move the ball & the iggles wear us down. 24-13 iggles |

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
I just have this strange feeling that the offense may improve with better playcalling from the bingo caller, too bad he cant play on the line too...31 Eagles 24 Skins

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
I am also interested to see the following actions/inactions:
Will Zorn be active on the sideline, or will he be more withdrawn. What will Gruden's commentary be like. Will he rag on DS or will he make comments on how he would like to see things done. Will he hype Campbell, or make a comment along the lines of "whoever the next coach is will be looking for a new QB" |

I expect an ugly game just like against the Chiefs and it wouldn't surprise me if either team wins.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
The writing is on the wall for Zorn. Chances are that no matter what the outcome of this game, Zorn will be let go as early as Tuesday.
Zorn has been stripped of his authorities. The locker room sees this and they know that Zorn is no longer in charge. He has no credibility with the management, fans, media or the players. This has to have a mental effect on the locker room. They know that the management has handled this Zorn thing terribly. Lewis has had only one week to work with the offense. The worst thing that could have happened to the Redskins last week happened, but not in the KC game. The Eagles lost to Oakland. The Eagles learned a valuable lesson last weekend when they lost to Oakland. Reid as much as admitted that they were looking past the woeful Raiders and were not as prepared as they should have been. Reid and the Eagles players will not make the same mistake twice. I could see a score like Eagles 34 Redskins 13 here easily. |

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
Maybe I'm crazy but I don't see Zorn fired after this game. There's literally no point in doing so now that his playcalling ability has already been taken from him. Let the storm of this week blow over, let the dust settle in the bye week, come back and finish out the season.
As for the game, for some crazy reason we match up really well with the Eagles, winning 3 of the last 4. I think we'll keep it close in a (shocker) low scoring affair. I don't think Reid has a killer instinct in him to just destroy Zorn so we lose 20-13. It's really going to be interesting to hear if Gruden sounds like a commentator and echoes everything that's out there in the media or if he sounds like a guy not trying to piss off his future employer. If he tip-toes around things, I wonder if Jaws will call him out on it because I expect Jaws to shred Snyder and Ceratto on all things ranging from the handling of this situation to the handling of Campbell in the offseason.

Re: What do you expect in the Philly Game
I don't think Gruden will say anything that hasn't already been said. If Snyder doesn't like it oh well.
