Not sure what they paid for him but he's been pretty quiet that's for sure.

Good thing we passed on him. Who are our DE's anyway? LOL, doesn't seem to matter much with the schemes Williams runs.

warner and evans would be 3rd and 4th stringers on some teams... i'm sure having a jason taylor or even AO would make this D totally insane...

Without a doubt

The guy that was supposed to be our pass rusher has been replaced on passing downs by a UDFA from Texas (Kalen Thornton)

Wiley will be a 3.375 mil cap hit on the '05 cap

Wiley got 4 years 16 mil and a 4.5 mil SB

Take away 1 year from the SB and a 3.375 cap hit escalates into the '05 cap

Williams is a brilliant defensive mind..a Buddy Ryan/Jeff Fisher disciple

I think that's a good point to remember.

Because we focus all our attention on the Redskins, often it seems like we're the only team that makes mistakes, when in reality every team makes their share, sometimes much worse than ours.

as i watched MNF, i thought to myself...... "self, why didn't we pick up john lynch?" could you imagine ST and Lynch playing safeties for the Redskins..... at the same time? that would be sick!

I think Lynch is a bit overrated. He's getting up there in age too....

lynch is old and getting older... he's still a great player, but i think he was probably overpriced for his age and when we had iffy/bowen/taylor, safety wasn't as big a concern as say, DE (which we tried 6-7 trades, but at that point the money had all been spent... stupid brunell...)

Living in Texas get to have a closeup view....Parcells is a victim of Jerrah Jones's cheapness. The Cowboys could've had Stephen Jackson or could have chosen some help for their secondary........BUT Mr. Jones did not want to pay a first round draft pick, so he traded out of the first round and traded down......now they are paying for their lack of talent.....with an aging Woodsen out their secondary looks like swiss cheese, they have a 41 year old QB, and a running back that shows why his previous team didn't want to re-sign him....George looks his age...........Cowboys got lucky last year making the playoffs due to lack of competition rather than prowress. Their anniliation in the playoffs showed they couldn't compete. This year they show they just don't have what it takes to stand with playoff contenders because other teams have now improved. Parcells is in the same boat as Gibbs, in fact the Redskins are probably in BETTER shape talent wise.....Parcells just doesn't have the personnel to get the job done...........

in other news, how do we fix our special teams?? we should have the talent there, but for some reason its not together

I agree the dallas has an overall lack of talent right now... they didn't get that much worse (vinny is better than quincy), but everyone else got better...

That Guy---
Sean Taylor is even playing Special Teams. I think we just lack some speed and I've seen some missed tackles.......we need to upgrade through next year's draft.....It may seem cliche, but once again lack of talent............

could it be the scheme? how did danny smith do in his last job??

we got thrash, taylor, jacobs, and i think smoot on ST... there's definately some speed there.... not in molinaro, but overall i wouldn't say its not that bad as far as speed goes...
