I'll see if I have anything to sell you.

I could even assemble a "starter kit" if you want.
Nice.. the main thing keeping me from doing it is that I really just don't grow much facial hair, I probably couldn't grow a mustache if I tried.. goatee is the only thing.. my sides just get a lil peach fuzz

You're lucky. My beard grows in so thick and fast. I get 5 o'clock shadow around 1:30pm. lol. It's annoying to have to shave every day.

haha that does suck.. I usually just hit the mustache area every day, usually without gel.. sides every few days.. then I'll grow the goatee for a few weeks, chop it off and start over F... trimming

Mine grows that fast too. A vintage DE razor will keep me smooth until the afternoon/evening. When I used cartridge razors...I'd be like sandpaper by lunchtime.

Re: F....Paper Cuts

Everyone has a handful of images burned in their minds over the years.

One of mine is of my dad slowly licking a envelop in front of me and I could clearly see a inch and half paper cut form on his tongue as he did it. He didn't eat solid foods for a couple days. Said it hurt like hell.

absolutely! in the military, where you had to be clean shaven for MP duty, I shaved, went to the first inspection passed, and then had a second inspection about an hour and a half later, and this new desk sergeant told me to go back to the barracks and shave. I was like wtf! now that I'm out, I don't shave unless some very special event comes up.

Otherwise,

Papercuts suck too!

Never saw that much blood in my life. I left blood in the ER room, all over their X-ray machine, the bed, the doctor.

While they were working on me, some Mexicans were cursing and yelling in Spanish about waiting. The doc said I was the priority, I actually had a real emergency. That was nice to hear. Great ER, will go there again if I have to.

Ha, you should've stashed some Nair in the barracks.

I tried against the grain once. And only once. My face was covered in red bumps for two days. I was embarrassed to leave the house.

I'd never go against the grain if I grew real facial hair.. I can get away with it some on my chin.. I can go in swirls on my face if I want

Re: F....Paper Cuts

I go with the grain to start and then against to finish up. But if I've used the blade a couple of times and it's not in great shape I try to avoid going against. But, now that it's playoff time I haven't shaved in over a week, and I just got past the really itchy stage so I'm good to go.

Back to the thread (sort of): What about the distant cousin of the paper cut - The crab claw cut. All the MD and VA guys here should know what I'm talking about. When you're eating blue crabs and the claw or shell cuts your hand and you get all that vinegar and Old Bay in it. That always hurts like a BITCH!
