I would love to do another event with Joe. He was on my initial list of guys to go after. He is coaching college ball and I saw he has a game scheduled that day, so there was no point in calling him.

Re: Throw some names at me

Just thought I would update you guys. The names you threw out made me think of Ravin Caldwell who has now agreed to do the event. I have also contacted 2 of the other names mentioned and think that I have a pretty good chance at getting at least one of them.

Keep em coming, I really appreciate the help.

Dexter is a great name. We had him and Dave Butz at a free event in the exact same mall on July 3rd. I will have to wait some time to bring him somewhere else. Mark Rypien was also at the mall on that day, signing autographs for his foundation that helps to honor the memory of his son.

Man Ryp's had a hard life. Good guy. I wish things went better for him.

We always try to price the autographs in the 10-15 dollar range - so the John Riggins/Art Monks of the world are not in the budget. I look for names that don't usually do the circuit, but are enough of a draw that people want to come out. This year I am hoping to have about 10-12 athletes there. For those of you who are interested, we will also have some of the bikini models (including Sarah for those of you who know what brought me to this message board).

So far, we have booked
Maxie Baughan, Bubba Tyer, Rickie Harris, Reggie Evans and Fred Dean. Of course Mike will also be there.

Last year we had, Sonny Randle (UVA & Cards), Mark Washington (Cowboys), Ron Saul, Doc Walker & Roy Jefferson. The year before that we had Walt Rock, Pat Fischer, Ron McDole, Mike Bragg and Ken Harvey. The first year we had, Charley Casserley, Mark Moseley, Perry Brooks, Darryl Grant and Andre Collins. Of course, ever year Mike Nelms is there.

I am looking for suggestions of names that you guys would like to meet. Most of the 1972 guys are out since I had them at another event this year for Children's Miracle Network. I also try to space some time with guys I have brought in for other events (like the for profits).

It is also easiest if the guys are in the DMV area. You now have the challenge, let's see what you can come up with.
For this thread to gain traction you need to post a pic of Sarah in that bikini.

OK, hopefully this works. Sarah is actually supposed to come by on Tuesday and we are going to shoot a short video promoting the calendar. Remember, this is not really the thread for the event though. This thread is to get some names out there for me to look into. The title is wrong for the event - and WAY to early.

edit: Click on the picture and you can see it bigger.

Neal is unavailable on that day. Both Mike and Pat were at our 72 Reunion for the Children's Miracle Network in March at the exact same mall. I usually do a couple of things a year with Pat, so I am sure I will have him somewhere else soon.

Keep em coming please.

tryfuhl,

I responded to your pm, but it doesn't look like it went through - did you receive a response about the event in Waldorf?
