Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
I agree completely. I mean as much crap as he gets (and deservedly so) he has played 2-4 motivated games even with us and he's a freaking beast. You know he'd kick our ass twice a year if he went to Philadelphia. Send him to the AFC for a mid round pick and just forget he was ever here.

After McNabb I never want to trade with the Iggles again.

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
NFL Network's Jason La Canfora suspects that the Redskins will not get more than a fifth-round pick in a trade of Albert Haynesworth.
La Canfora, a former longtime Skins beat writer, believes Washington would be wary of trading Haynesworth to the Eagles, who are known to have interest. "I think they'd trade him for a seventh-round pick somewhere outside the division before they dealt him to the Eagles now, with (DL coach Jim) Washburn there, or cut him," says La Canfora. "They should have taken a fifth for him last offseason and ended the circus then." NFL.com Blogs » Blog Archive La Canfora: Possible replacements for Haynesworth «

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
Sure, trade him to the Eagles. Let him become their problem. If he were to become an Eagles player, I would enjoy watching him take a short nap during a play in front of their understanding and supportive fans.
Having him in the division wouldn't hurt us. He's sure to be way out of shape when the season starts so he'd probably only play about ten or twelve plays a game for the Eagles. Plus, it's a good bet that he'll do something to get himself suspended before the Eagles even play us. The important thing is to get him off our team as soon as possible. |

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
Hanynesworth for Kolb or Vick is the only way I would deal him to the Eagles. Trades like that only happen on Madden though.
Everyone knows that the Skins are just going to get rid of him so they are going to hold off on any trades of value and just wait for him to be a free agent. |

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
NO, NO, and NO ! I would NOT trade him to the Eagles, Boys, Giants, let alone anyone in the NFC period. He can go to the AFC all day long but NOT the NFC. Personally, I'd keep him but if I get rid of him it would be trade or nothing.

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
I dont understand why people would be against trading him to the eagles but be okay with cutting him. I think philly would be a pretty attractive team to him; playoff caliber team, reunite with Washburn and the 4-3, constant supply of cheese steaks. If we cut him id say theres a pretty good chance of him going there anyway. If its either cut him and let him go to the eagles on his own or trade him for a low round pick to philly, whats so bad about at least getting something for him?
Maybe we can trade him to the Panthers for a conditional 7th? If not id just assume keep him

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
No way he goes to the Eagles. I say if we cannot get a decent pick for him we just hold on to him until someone makes us an offer. I'd like to see him go to a team like Miami so we can watch his fat ass wither away in the heat. Nothing worse then an over weight out of shape person trying to deal with the heat.

Plus its all about knowing how he would be used. Apparently he's not good enough or bright enough or whatever to simply sit back and plug a hole for any team since all he want to do is be cut loose to blitz every down. If you can design a couple of plays around him for the first 4-6 plays he kinda takes himself out of the game for that series. Screan pass. QB roll to the opposite side. Zone block. Shot gun. AH then would walk off the field huffing and puffing for us to run the ball. better yet just run the ball when he's not in, pass when he is. |

Heck if AH is the last piece to the Eagles puzzle they should be willing to give up just about anything to get him..... maybe an OL? |

You would need to have a very large caliber weapon at Andy Reid's head to make that trade work...

We shouldn't need another WR.
I say we swap a DL for an OL player.

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
I wouldn't want to trade AH to Philly so my asking price would be very high. AH for Maclin. Take it or leave it, Andy Reid.

Re: Haynesworth "Wanted Badly" By Eagles' D-Line Coach
I'd trade AH to the Eagles in a heartbeat. Let him be someone elses problem, but since they are in the division I'd ask for a lot more then what the going price is. If a 5th or 6th is the going price I'd ask for a 3rd or 4th from them. If they are willing to trade a player.... we don't need another WR. I'd take an OL.

I would trade AH for VY before I would trade him to the shegles.
