Re: Redskins sign a new safety

I am sure the Skins are willing to sign any player that is a upgrade..problem is most good players are already spoken for..i would say that if the skins released any of the so called problem players they would be scooped up by other teams..and most likely would play well..the skins problems are not about any one player..it is a team ..they have to play together. fact is there are backups on the team now that need to be given playing time to see how they do. Look at the Saints or last years Falcons very good teams can fall apart quick..the steelers are not looking good ..the difference in the NFL is inches! I am not sure how each year we the fans believe the team is playoff ready..reality is this year the Redskins are at best a 9 win team..most likely they will end up 6 -10 however The future looks good..We have first rounder next year..hopefully RGIII will return healthy..We will know for sure about Kirk..the coaches will have a year under there belt. there are brighter days ahead !

That is the guy that RGIII was looking back at on that 76 yard TD run.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: Redskins sign a new safety

If I recall we had a chance to sign Brandon Flowers after he was cut, unfortunately we had signed Porter. Shitty timing.

The future always looks good, until it no longer is the future!!!!!! Thing is our starters for the most part suck. We only have one bona fide starter on our O line and defensive backfield and both of them are hurt. Anyone else on those units are second stringers on the better teams in the league. Our qb situation is not very good. You have a kid that just has been exposed to the point that all you have to do is put on a great pass rush and cover the TE and whammo, you have rendered him useless and forced him to make dumb throws. Your starter is awesome, but can't stay healthy for half a season, so he isn't worth a damn over the long haul. Unless he plays all of 2015 and we experience 2012 deja vu, without the injury at the end, I can't see us retaining him. To do that he will have to take a hefty pay cut I would think. Don't even bring up the depth issue.

See it's post like these that make head hurt. Run on sentences, no clear point being made, poor understanding of football, etc....
Dude why would RGIII need to take a pay cut? He is on a rookie contract. That is the one blessing we have in him unlike say a Bradford who was drafted before the CBA.

Re: Redskins sign a new safety

We got beat bad so far in one game! ONE GAME..It would not surprise me at all to see the skins win against Seattle..why ..because that is the way the NFL works. I say the skins win 8 games this year..I would be happy with that. next year we need to use first pick on O line..O line..you build your team in the trenches..we have playmakers..we should look to FA for DB help..we are not that far away..only BIG CONCERN is RGIII getting and staying healthy..

What you didn't know they got Cooley back from retirement?

His shorts are too long to be Cooley.

At the risk of speaking for him, I think his overall point is that we suck... Our talent sucks, most of our guys would be second stringers on good teams... Our QB situation sucks... We just all around suck and probably will for a while...

Except at RT. They seem pretty content to let Polumbus suck harder than a Hoover.
