I think the fact that Springs and Harris didn't play against the Broncos was a major factor.

Yeah, I believe if Springs was defending on that second TD - Denver would have settled for a field goal on that drive. Calling a fade against Jimoh was just too easy!

we got some questionable calls go our way, too, so you can't blame the refs for the lose. The 2 big runs are what did us in. I wonder if Lavar would have made a difference?

it was within 2 minutes if I remember right, but what sucked is that from they showed on tv, I didn't think it was indisputable evidence. It's not on the same scale, but I now understand why Raider fans hate the freakin tuck rule cuz that would have been an absolutely huge momentum shifter. That Patten PI call was absolute BS and yet when there was some contact on the Lelie TD, no yellow flag made it's way onto the field. And despite the tough loss and the circumstances about how it happened, I believe we all have to be a lot more hopefull of our teams chances right now as opposed to what we had seen in the preseason especially on the offensive side of the ball. I can only imagine what this team will be like when the offense is able to capitalize on the amount of yards their putting up by putting up the points to match the production.

Anyway.

The refs were terrible but our D looked average at best today. I was getting mad at Williams for the first time for all the bull with LaVar. LaVar is a great cover LB, creates turnovers and is an all pro. I was just watching a special on LBs on comcast. If you can find it watch it.

Singletary was on it. He couched Ray Lewis his first 2 years. Sam Huff was feactured also. Anyway, one of the main points they made was, if you have a great LB, you don't change him, you work with who they are and the style they play. Maybe this is the one weak point in Williams style. He can bend and because he cant, he leaves a tallent like LaVar on the bench.
Welcome!

I felt the same way about the big runs by Bell, but this will not become the norm for our team. We played pretty solid accept on those 2 big plays. I just hope Portis understands how important it is to not turn the freakin ball over. That will land him in Joe Gibbs's doghouse. Stop the joking Clinton and get down to business and start scoring some TDs.

Re: One thing will never change.

Didn't Portis run for over 100 today?

Just checking.

Yeah the botched handoff hurt, but he still had a good game.

Re: One thing will never change.

FYI....Portis has 263 yards rushing so far, 4 games into the season. Would like to see more 100 yard rushing games out of him.

Re: One thing will never change.

it feels like portis is catching more balls too. I felt during the game that portis had atleast 3 or 4 catches but then i saw it was only 2. We should let him catch more
