Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
Well, putting this into perspective, this isn't a war we're fighting, this is a freakin' football game. I trust Joe Gibbs to know a little more about coaching football than Winston Churchill.

For some reason i had a feeling in the beginning of the 4th of the cowpukes game and said that we were gonna upset them the way they did us so many times before. This game felt EXACTLY like that one. It just had a different outcome. obviously we were well over our heads in this game but hey, keep the faith people keep the faith. No one in this CONFERENCE can beat us as far as i am concerned and we all know what that means.... SUPERB...nah |

If we don't bitch slap the Eagles next week, I will be sore. I want them to come out next week pissed off and ready to go wild. There is no way the Eagles come in our house and beat us. Who's with me?

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
whoever is lucky enough to go to the eagle game go buck wild. Go crazy, go insane, go early, get loud, cheer our players who had a horrible performance a week before, and be supportive. We can win our next couple. This game is a slap in the face, we got full of ourselves. Our players were leading every stastical catagory, we were dressing up and bragging about 3 TDs, we were rapping with LARRRY LANDOVVER, the media was interviewing us asking what made us so good, we were saying that we had a MVP on the team, We had a jerry rice record breaker, we had a comeback player, we a had the head coach of the year, we had the NFC owned, and that we had a coach that at the end of the year would be proclaimed the best coach in history. We were full of ourselves.
I am glad we lost big. sure its embarassing and the media will be horrible this week, but remember its a war not a battle and this will help us in the war |

It's not called giving up, it's called being smart.

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
Must be a new "hip" translation then.
When you throw in the towel the majority of the world sees it as giving up, quitting, being ok with losing. I'm not from the new generation I guess that sees quiting as being "smart". IMHO peace

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
i must be a new generation hipster
i understand, like gmanc said i felt we could win all the way through but really it was the hip thing to do. we couldn't risk an injury to moss or brunell, our boys were falling left and right and i still don't know the story on samuels. lets hope for the best but we needed to get out and get out fast |

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
Let me "skool" you young folks
Lossing Never adds a win. Period. Losing faster today does not help us get a win quicker in a game to come. Losing means you lost. Either because you fought hard and lost or GAVE UP. Losing NEVER helps you win a season and I don't care what "knowlegable fans" think. A loss add to yer losses...period peace

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
Losing your best quarterback for being too stubborn to take him out of the game when it is out of reach doesn't add wins either, just makes ya look more like the fool.

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
"The Skins did not put PR in the game to give us a chance to win but to be the end of the game whipping boy. That's pathetic and the whole team and I mean WHOLE team needs to tell him how SORRY they are."
That is SBF's quote I agree that we shouldn't have made PR a "wipping boy" we should have put him in to still have a chance. But the thing is the skins didn't bend over and say stick it to me, the first two plays were our biggest plays of the game. We didn't give up, we just put in a lesser QB, Brunell was getting destroyed. We put in a fresh body and we had two good plays that put us into the redzone for the first time. We gave it what we had at the end, even though it wasn't much I completely agree that we didn't have any heart. we didn't look like we wanted to win. |

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
What happens if you lose a starter due to injury when you're down 36-0 in the 4th with 2 minutes to go?
You're potentially throwing away the season just for the sake of being stubborn. This is one of the strangest discussions I've ever seen, just when you thought you've seen them all! LOL |

Re: Make a bed, lay in it.
I've read some pretty strange stuff here at thewarpath.net but I guuess Matty has singled me out today all of a sudden.
"This is one of the strangest discussions I've ever seen, just when you thought you've seen them all!" I disagree with not playing Mark Brunell and trying to win and Matty makes excuses for throwing in the towel like a loser and he makes that comment towards me. Guess I'm not one of those "knowlegable redskins fans". I never give up or quit trying to win. You'll need to show me when someone losing helped them win. Redskins try and win!
