Yeah, I wasn't suggesting its a good idea, I was just pointing out that things suck that bad.

That fake punt on 4th down was by far the most stupidest coaching decision I ever saw a head coach make. Gibbs, Norv, Marty, or Shanahan would not have decided on it. They would have punted....

Zorn might have okayed it.

The fake punt would have been brilliant if it worked.

To me, failed fake punts are the least of our worries.

Re: The everything Gruden thread

coach is pathetic - can't win with any qb's. need to build o-line around williams, entire coaching staff, go back to 4-3 - draft ol,dl,db, s . free agents - ol, s cb, lb, front office, clean house, starting with Allen, get a coach who is willing to adapt his playbook to fit the players he has until he has the personal he needs to run it. At this point Morris as the interim hc, can't do any worse
players - cut - older players - make a youth movement, lets see what we have/don't have..... and start purging them in the offseason

Watch St. Louis Rams vs. Washington Redskins [12/07/2014] - NFL.com

He is not head coach material.

Re: The everything Gruden thread

I was totally on the Gruden bandwagon for a long time, but I'm extremely discouraged with this team right now. We were absolutely not ready to play today. It wasn't a thing of talent or lack of depth, we just weren't ready to play. And it seems like there's no discipline on this team at all... penalties, dumb plays, and a seeming lack of effort for much of the season.

Gruden needs at least one more year, because this is a loser organization and he's working with losers, but I'm not nearly as hopeful about the future now as I was 2 months ago. I voted "2" on the poll.

Both teams are not going to the playoffs. But just watching the game today, you could just tell which team wanted to be out there, you could tell which team was really playing hard, and which one was just going through the motions.

Also, Phillip Thomas is just terrible.

Re: The everything Gruden thread

Voted 2, have no real confidence in Gruden. Matter of fact he has pretty much failed at this point. His job was to make Griffin a better QB which for whatever reason did not work out. The franchise is total wasteland, calling it a dumpster fire, does not capture the magnitude of how bad it is, this is more on the scale of a Chernobyl/Fukushima. What a friggin disaster.

We weren't that good before Snyder took over either.

Re: The everything Gruden thread

Man, I've been a Redskins fan forever and never missed a play. Watched the whole game again today, but if something doesn't change soon and the Redskins I fell in love with don't come back. I don't know how much more of this I can take, because this is not a Redskins football team. This is a joke.
