While 10 days is a long time, it still doesn't take into consideration that our offensive line is down to bare bones, and the Giants have 2 of the better DEs in the league. Plus the Skins run game is non-existent right now. So, they will rely heavily on a guy who's 37 and has 1 start this century under his belt.

10 days or not, Collins showed some weaknesses last Thursday during the Bears game. I expect a good defense like the Giants to pick up on them.

It's only natural that I hope I'm completely wrong...

NY Football Giants 1986 NFC Championship Game, 17-0 (I was 6, and cried my eyes out after this game...damn wind)
and
NY Football Giants, 2005 Mara Bowl, 36-0

However, do not expect a shutout this weekend...

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions

Why is there a perception that the Giants are all that much better than the Bears?

They are a little better...like they have a running game. But that's pretty much where it ends.

they are better than the bears. they have plax, who's been inconsistent lately, but was right there in the conversation with to and moss earlier in the year, and can still be a threat especially to a depleted secondary. We played against the bears backup and the giants have the "unstoppable" eli manning. (hehehe) they have shockey and a run game and a pretty active front seven, which will go a long way in countering our best play makers. If we can get our receivers involved in the game we definitely have a shot, but Im just not sure with a suffering running game and todd collins we have much of a chance. I hope we do, but the deck is definitely stacked against us.

Very good ,nope I don't expect that at all .I believe the weather will play a big role in this game..I;ll go ..27-24 Giants but a very tight game.Look for Shockey and Tyree to help a lot.

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions

Well... fuck.

I just don't know here. It's not that I'm chicken (God knows i've predicted us to lose games this year), but this one is just unpredictable with all the variables - weather, emotion, Collins, Manning.

I'll say this: I want to see us win more than any in any other game this season.

Hail!

Not really. I mean, Collins long-term production in this offense has yet to be evaluated, but we definately can exploit a pass defense weakness for the Giants if we can get those ends blocked. We are only going to hurt ourselves if we try to run the ball this week. Our defense is capable of shutting down the Giants and forcing turnovers. The question is, will it actually happen?

i'll give you that...

Its gonna be up to the wideouts to get the offense going like I said. most of the backs and even cooley will probably either be used in pass protection or covered well...

if collins has a good day with the wideouts even if they only send 2 or 3 guys on routes, our offense will have a good day.

I am also a little concerned about them running against us, but we'll see. London Fletcher is a beast and has been shutting the run down all year long, I hope he can keep it up...

GO SKINS!!!!!

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions

I would say that the Redskins will win this game? Why? The Redskins need this game more. They will play harder than the Giants and pull for a win.

I do not see the Giants as a better team than the Redskins. Sorry.

I do recall the Redskins winning 17-3 over the Giants at halftime earlier this season. The Giants are capable of being defeated. They are not the Patriots.
