Skins vs. Giants predictions
Alright, I think we've spent enough time on the Patriots this week. Let's get back to talking about our team for a moment.
Last week I said I would offer no prediction, and they won. Therefore no prediction from me again this week. Let's hear yours. |

Giants 24 Eli will throw off his back foot. Collins will be sacked but he will not turn it over. Marcus Washington plays big.

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I'm thinking our D is going to step up big this game and in the cold Eli will struggle all game. Collins will play a good game but not as good as last week but enough to gat the job done. We will also see our running game pick up some and Portis will ave over 100 yards and Moss will have a few big catches.

I think we struggle in really bad weather and it appears that there is going to be nasty weather.

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I like the Redskins chances in this game. Eli Manning can be rattled. I hope Greg Williams go after him. There are three big concerns against the G-Women.
1) First, the Skins must contain the pass rush. One of best ways to slow down the pass rush is to stay out of known passing situations. That means the play calling has to be versatile, throwing on first down occasionally, running or throwing screen when they expect the pass. 2) Secondly, the Skins have to stop the run. The G-Women have killed the Skins in the pass with the run. Now granted that was Tiki Barber, but the G-Women run by committee can present problems. 3) Lastly, the Skins have to limit Plaxico Burress. The best way to do that is not give Eli Manning enough time to find the TREE. If Plaxico does catch the ball, they have to tag him and eliminate the run after the catch. With all that said, I think the Skins are capable. I think Todd Collins has a lot to prove and he will show everyone how Al Sanders offensive works. Redskins 24 G-Women 17

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
i hate to be a negative nilly, but I think we'll have no answer for their pass rush and collins will come back down to earth pretty quick. I give them the advantage because we're playing them at their house.

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
For the first time in weeks, the team will be able to compartmentalize Taylor's loss. Hurting and healing, but able to lace them up and get after it.
The Skins put together a two game win streak with a victory of the Giants this Sunday. Collins is very effecient and Portis grinds out an 80 yard game rushing, another 60 receiving. Eli...well, you know the drill. I think he's good for two picks. Skins 24 Giants 13 ************************************************** good job, 12th. Shameless plug |

G-men 21 We'll get some turnovers; Eli will fumble & get picked at least once & Plax will fumble on a big play. The O struggles some, but contains the pass rush w/max protect & is able to run the ball just enough to be balanced & sustain some drives. The g men will make a push late but run out of time as the D seals the deal. I expect a great game from the O line. They can't dominate but they will play their best & Gibbs will be keeping backs in to protect Collins. |

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
And since I no longer predict "pain" for the opponent, we've been winning. So I no longer predict pain. I DO predict that Collins is smart enough to get the ball off against the blitz that NY will surely bring.
I actually think we'll slap around Eli quite a bit and win the game with all the injuries the Giants have in the backfield and secondary. It'll be close though. 20,10 Skins.

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I just find it so funny that 81% of the people that voted think we are going to win. I guess homerism never dies.
The Giants are a better team than we are. I think Burress is going to have a big day against our depleted secondary. Giants d-line is going to dominate our o-line. Collins is going to struggle throwing the ball in the bad weather. They are at home and it should be an easy win for them. I hope I'm wrong. Giants 27 Skins 13 |

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I actually think that Collins will do just fine. The weather is going to be bad for both teams. Collins has the best grasp of Saunder's offense. That was a pretty impressive hot read on the TD toss to Betts vs. the Bears. I am not really sure that Campbell makes that play. Campbell makes plays with his feet, where Collins makes plays with his head. Skins win a close one 17-13.

Re: Skins vs. Giants predictions
I have been picking the Skins most of the year but not this time. Sunday's weather will be terrible and the Skins have been terrible lately playing the Giants in NY. Add that to a back-up QB and patchwork O-Line and it all spells L for the Skins.
