Mystery solved! Cowher has been the mystery man all along!

Great pick, and a great coaching hire LDS!

Now we can all move into some normalcy during the off-season.

Yeah, I'm getting bored with this HC chit chat too. Enough of this, let's just wait until someone is hired!
You can't just judge him by his first head coaching stint. He had no talent, and McDonalds was going through cap hell. Remember Arch Deluxe? McStuffin? You can't win with that!

Bram crybaby Wienstien is an annoying little putz who couldnt get a scoop on something this big if his life depended on it. He really gets on my nerves. I'd almost, repeat, almost rather listen to Saban.

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview

Am I the only one who heard the NY-GB halftime show? I heard their analyst say Mora was Snyder's #1 choice for HC. This pretty much puts GW in the dog house even if Snyder decides to give him a 1 year chance, which leads me back to the whole stink around this thing: Snyder is a flatout pisspoor owner/operator. That kind of info should never get leaked, which means Snyder should never share it w/ anyone who would possibly leak it. Being out west I don't know anything of his business background but I seriously wonder how this guy got to where he is. Almost every decision he makes regarding his football team turns into a clusterfuck. On top of all that, I read a newspaper article that talked about Snyder refusing to take any advice from successful owners, including his refusal to listen to other owners speak at the annual conventions. Can anyone (from the D.C. area) confirm whether this is true?

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview

So does this mean that Harbough has no shot and the Ravens are piss poor because Garret was offered the job but decided to stay in Dallas? Mora is a young coach who wasn't given much of a shot coaching a team that wants stars more than titles. I think he would have been a great choice but after interviewing he decided to stay in Seattle (he can say family reasons all he wants but I think he'd rather work under Holmgrem for another season and then take over there since Holmgrem will not be offered a contract extension).

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview

I'm trying to be patient but if they don't announce a HC by early this week, i'm worried about GW's chances.

I don't trust DS and VC to make a good decision.

Someone else mentioned...Charlie Weiss...connections w/ Vinny thru Notre Dame??? Is this the mystery guy? Just a wild guess...

Some of the media are starting to just throw crap out there b/c they don't have anything though. Usually, though some of the crap winds up to be true. Getting impatient...do the right, smart thing and hire GW and let him go to work.

I've been rooting for Weiss since before Gibbs came on board. He would be a great coach (forget Notre Dame record).

Producer. "Genius."

MYSTERY CANDIDATE IN D.C.?

On Friday, we caught wind of rumors that there's a mystery candidate for the head-coaching vacancy in Atlanta. Now, Jay Glazer of FOX reports that a mystery candidate has emerged in Washington.

In our view, the term "mystery candidate" is usually code for a college head coach who's hoping not to disrupt his recruiting effort if he doesn't get the job. But after the team's experiences with Steve Spurrier, it's hard to think that owner Dan Snyder would want to give another college coach a try.

Glazer says that the Redskins' mystery candidate will be interviewed on Monday or Tuesday.

Also, Glazer reports that Seahawks assistant Jim Mora would have gotten the job if he had wanted it. Some have speculated that Mora withdrew his name from consideration after he learned that he wouldn't get the gig.
