What you're seeing is maturity in visualization approach not politics. Whatever angle you look from the numbers are straight from OMB and speak for themselves.

Really, no politics at all in how the numbers are presented? Come on, one has a HUGE pic of Iraq on the left side the other simply states the expenditures. One has all the non defense expenditures deriving from Congress which is appropriate, the other has lines going all over the place, and does a good job of obfuscation.
all in all its just alot of money going to be spent, and the bottom line is that the government is not going down anytime soon.(which i think was your point when showed it)

To tell you the truth I don't really know what you're implying with your post. The creator is politically motivated and as such that's why he put Iraq on there? That perhaps he should use a picture of masked men of Arab decent instead?

  1. The War on Terror was not in the 2004 budget so you won't see it on the chart.
  2. The War on Terror was in the 2009 budget and therefore is in the chart.
  3. 76% of money allocated to The War on Terror goes to Iraq and 20% goes to Afghanistan. That's real talk right there.

Anywho, the Obama budget is out today, we'll see if the creator is politically motivated. Not sure what I should look for though, maybe you can give me the right perspective.

Rosa Parks was a high school dropout. Also Josephine Baker, Redd Foxx (may his smutty soul RIP), Joe Frazier, Whoopi Goldberg, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, BB King, Eartha Kitt, Yaphett Kotto, LL Cool J, Charley Pride, and Barry White just to name a few.

Now, if President Obama wants to badmouth Conservatives, that's one thing, but I'm not about to sit here and let him badmouth The Maestro.

Re: Obama's Joint Session of Congress Speech

the best way i can explain it, is when i looked at 2004 it seemed fairly straight forward that Congress was the primary authorizing agency. The next one i looked at, Congress was not seen at all and the Iraq war picture was very large. I was thinking of how people would react since most see this when they do their taxes, its with the tax forms.

In the first picture- people would most likely pin it on Congress
In the second people would react against the iraq war (bush/republicans)

it really was a general impression to the two charts, and thats the best i can explain. if it means nothing, well not my first post like that

Cool Re: Obama's Joint Session of Congress Speech

Pelosi seemed to be having such a great time during the speech. I am so happy that her post-menopausal self can still get sufficient orgaisms just by the spoken word of; "we will spend the piss out of some money to get out of the economic crisis that our in-the-way government has gotten us into."

Yes, this was a great speech if you like to hear how our country will cure all that ills our nation, and the world. I hear that the big O's sights are set on trying to fix the woes of the universe too.

Barack The Builder, can he fix it? Yes he can.

Brother demek25, I personally don't have a problem with a woman doing anything in this country, other than standing in a trench next to me figthing bad guys. But, that is another topic not relevant to this thread.

I just think that Pelosi is a bad choice to sit at the "big table" of Congress, and ram her whacky and radical political agenda down our throat. People like her and her ilk, just grind my gears to no end.

For her to sit and stand, sit and stand, sit and stand all during the big O's speech, with that human excrement eating grin on her face just made me want to vomit.

It's her politics brother demek25 that I have a problem with, that's all. It has nothing to do with her gender.

Lord Obama will make the universe well again. Rainbows and bunny rabbits shall reign the earth, Unicorns will come out of hiding and it's all going to be magical.

Praises be Lord Obama, peace be upon him.
