Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
You gotta be kidding me.....4 high picks for one player including 3 1sts? WTF!?!??!???!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!? I wanted RGIII incredibly badly, but there is NO WAY any player is worth 3 1sts and a 2nd, and there is no way any team offered anywhere close to that. Ditka looks brilliant in comparison for getting Ricky Williams.
Any chance we at least recoup some picks, like a 3rd or something? |

I second this thought. I am completely stoked though and am excited to finally have a qb. Guess Shanahan was really impressed with him. We need to get some WR in free agency for him to throw too. Too bad we cant be greedy and sign Manning too lol, since he looks like he doesnt want to come here

So, two first and a 2nd. I'd be much happier with only two first round picks. I hope they're late 1st round picks......lol

3 firsts and a 2nd? GD. Not sure I agree with that, although I'm a huge RG3 fan. That's crazy. I'm pretty confident that RG3 won't be a bust but damn if that won't put us in a huge hole for the next two drafts after this one.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
Three weeks ago, the Redskins thought Griffin was a good scheme fit, but mechanically flawed. Zero football games later, he's worth three ones and a two.
That's essentially the Shanaplan in a nutshell. Think Griffin will look sharp in Burgundy. Real sharp. Just hope he plays as well as he looks.

So, basically 2013 and 2014 1st round picks are gone along with this years number two.

I love Griffin.
But I am hoping that this is a mis-report, otherwise we got raped.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
I was hoping we wouldn't give up this year's 2nd rounder. It's like sweet and sour chicken. Don't know how to think about this yet....

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
And they took this year's #2? GD. We're gonna have to go hard in FA this year. Not sure I agree with that.
Also I want to know how the rumors went from us offering our first this year and next year, but not willing to give up our second this year, to us giving them our first and second this year as well as our 2 firsts for the next 2 years. How does that happen?

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
I'm too stunned to really say how happy I am about potentially having a young stud qb on our team or how mad I am about how much of our teams future we just gave away to move up 4 spots. All I know is if we finish above .500 the next 2 years it'll have been worth it, but heaven help us if we don't. The shitstorm would be apocalyptic.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
It isn't as bad as it sounds when ya say two first round picks and a #2 as opposed too 3 first rounders and a #2.
