Have we put the primetime curse to bed now?

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
Mack Brown is the best runner on this team. Coaches don't trust his pass blocking though. By runner, I mean best runner who can carry 20x a game.

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
I don't even know where to begin. It was like watching the old Joe Gibbs Redskins at the height of their greatness. I don't think I've seen our defense this dominate in a very long time. It's not like this was the Browns. The Raiders are a good time. Even a team that some would assume can make a strong Super Bowl push.

I’m still in awe, definitely haven’t seen a Redskins D play like that since 91

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
God that felt good! Best Skins defensive play I have ever witnessed !
And since we're in the "not to brag but" session, I'm glad to say I was among those who truly believed in this D this offseason ^^ Great to see this big of a culture change in a year! As Scneed called it, the human element is huge, when you see guys that were non-factors last year play lights out (Smith, Bree, Fuller, Ioannidis...), this is proof that football is not all about money, scheme, stats and measurable, it's also about how hard you want it, for you and the guys around you !

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
I admit I did not see this coming..So much to be proud about this team! Most folks were surprised at this.. may have to rethink my 6 win prediction..this team could actually be pretty good..but its still the redskins and we know how they can break your heart..but IF they play like that who knows! Does anybody know what the fans were chanting last night??

WOW!! Unbelievable...
Defense, Kirk, and Thompson were off the charts. Game ball to Gruden and the coaches. Best coached game in the Gruden era by far. Finally made the other team look silly and unprepared. HTTR!! |

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
Still feel like that was a dream. Has been a really long time since I have seen our defense shutdown a good offense like that. Maybe the most dominant I have ever seen from a Skins team. And for our offense and defense to be clicking in the same game was just heavenly. I have seen us look good before only to inexplicably shit the bed in following weeks but that was such an ass kicking that I have some kool aid free swagger today as a Skins fan. HTTR!

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
What is getting lost in that performance by the D was the performance of our offense. My goodness they were well balanced. Kirk was unbelievable. The o line was kicking butt. CT is a damn star. If we beat the Chiefs next week I am going to get straight stupid about the very near future of this team.

Re: Raiders Skins POST GAME
Not to move past this too quickly, but the Chiefs will also be a big test (win that game, and even Redskins haters will have to concede we're legit). Interestingly, the Chiefs have a bend-don't-break defense -- they give up the 5th most amount of yards per game, but are #10 in points per game: ational Football League Stats - by Team Category | NFL.com
This is a D that can be beat if we make the most of our opportunities. Having had a bunch of bend-don't-break defenses of our own over the years, I never think that is terribly sustainable. But winning in Arrowhead has proved really, really hard, and keeping up this kind of momentum may be pretty hard as well.
