I think Gibbs success in getting LA with the program would give Gibbs even more confidence that he could get TO to work in the framework of what he's doing. Gibbs is first and foremost a people person and he (better than maybe anyone in the nfl) would know how to handle TO's temper tantrums. Also Gibbs sees a guy in trouble and knows he can help TO and the skins become better. I think the probability of this happening is low but just remember where you heard it first (just like my PR getting benched prediction).
My point was even Lenny P. who loves to rip on the Skins isn't dumb enough to say the Skins would take TO.

If the Eagles couldn't tame TO, forget about it, there's no way Gibbs would want to touch him.

TO is in a class all by himself when it comes to problem athletes, there is no way in hell Gibbs even gives him a thought.

I can't believe you need a Dallas Fan to defend your Coach but here it goes TO will never be a Redskin with Gibbs as a head coach Snyder will love to sign him but Gibbs won't put up with him.

Gibbs made your franchise stron with TEAM players no SuperStars egomaniac for cry sake you won a SB with Mark Rypen as your QB, you have had great players in your SB runs but no Divas and TO is a diva and he's uncoachable.

Sorry but don't compare LA situation with TO because if TO gets sit or bench for even a Quarter he would be screeming and kicking until someone notice him. No way he would get the message as LA did he got bench for 6 games and he still ain't starting lineup.

Now about signing him for the rest of the season Irish you can't do that they haven't fired him just suspended without paid for 4 games and inactive for the rest of the games thats it he will be traded or fire before march 5th when he's do a 5 million roster bonus.

TO won't play this season and even thought I would like to think he won't play anymore I'm sure a team is stupid enough or desperate to sign him NO is a posibility, NYJ and maybe atlanta because he has praside that franchise I don't know what he will do once he realice Vick can't trow but thats another story.

The redskins do not want to waste their time and throw away what they built the last year and a half.

Maybe a team and a coach that might be desperate may want to take a chance. Look at the bottom 5-8 teams in the league right now - they probably wouldn't mind putting up with all his crap as long as they start winning. It would be ironic if he ends up with the Ravens.

Cut to the chase-you will see the the Burger King guy going over the middle before TO on a Joe team. To Joe, TO is the Anti-Christ. I pretty much feel the same way

The main reason I think this will happen is because is because everyone on here thinks it wont. Everyone told me I was an idiot when I said PR would not start the 3rd game because Gibbs said PR was his man and Gibbs would never change his mind, Gibbs changed his QB.

I can hear it now, STARTING AT WR FOR THE REDSKINS NUMBER 81 TERREL OWENS.

I don't remember anyone saying you were an idiot because of your PR prediction.

Bottom line is....if you know Joe Gibbs, you know TO is NOT his type of player.

And as I stated before.....Where will we find the cap space/money to sign him?

Great logic.

So is this boiling down to yet another "I told you so" argument?

Fine then, major props to you for calling the incredibly quick hook of Ramsey, but to be fair you were off by about 2 1/2 games.

I'll be waiting for my props when the Skins don't even give one thought to signing TO.

he'd have to learn the offense, but besides that, the trading deadline is long gone and the iggles have no intention of releasing him.

Gibbs is also unlikely to give Art Monk's number to a self-serving piece of waste. But set aside the substantial and undeniable obstacles that Owens's character creates. Could it still happen?

Is this going to turn into "Owens will be a Skin before season end", or "Owens will get signed by the Skins in the offseason."? Both are wrong, but here goes...

The Eagles will keep Owens inactive until the offseason in the hopes that someone will trade for him. Who would do such a thing? If there are two teams showing interest, either of them. Remember, Owens is being "Keyshawn-ed", and someone traded for Johnson. Therefore, we won't have him to close the season.

The Redskins currently have over $3.5 million in dead cap money for 2006. (See here) They also have over $109 million in projected 2006 salaries and bonuses. (See here) While there will clearly be some restructuring and cuts, they will likely not be enough to take on the magnitude of an Owens contract. Even an incentive-laden contract would have to have easily reachable incentives to make Owens interested. While incentives offer some protection, if they are deemed "likely to be reached", they go on the cap figure. Ipso facto, we couldn't afford him.

Besides, even if Snyder overruled all his advisors and his own personal good judgement to treat the franchise like a fantasy team, think of this: would you want Owens on your fantasy team right now? I didn't think so...

hitting once doesn't suddenly make you infallible... I was right in saying our WR corp was upgraded, that moss would do better than coles here, etc etc

TO + Gibbs = not happening.
