Between him and Bryant, they've got to be better than Wynn '09.

^^ Interesting comment from the player, but to be honest with you it does not surprise me at all.

Adam_Schefter

RT @adair07 what is the trade value of Tony Sheffler? ... 5th-round picks popular these days; Denver wants a 3rd. Guess is a 4th - a value.

Wow, a 4th for Sheffler? No wonder we aren't moving our guys, it's a firesale in the national football league.

I can def see any or all of Campbell, Haynesworth, Portis, Rogers, and McIntosh getting shipped out next weekend for 2nd-5th rd picks. Might as well throw Landry, Cooley, and/or Moss into the trade mix. Some how or another, they will get more picks in this draft.
I am definately thinking we are going to lose some very good players, and not getting quality value back.

If you see all of these players getting shipped out next week, then I suggest you see an eye doctor.

Other than Portis, all those players could be moved if BA can get some perceived value from them. We know they all have been, or are being shopped at one point. No need to hammer a guy who makes a valid point. That point being -we need picks, but will it cost us more in talent to get the picks, then the talent we get from using those picks.

Has Schefter lost his mind?
Quote:
Adam Schefter often answers reader questions in his blog. Have a query of your own? Submit it here.

Q: If Rod Graves turned over the GM duties to you for the next few weeks, are there any moves you'd consider prior to the draft? Even if free agency is on hold until that time, there's been buzz around town that the Cardinals should use the uncapped year to spend some money on extending Darnell Dockett. Payroll has been slashed with Kurt Warner retiring, Anquan Boldin traded to the Baltimore Ravens and Karlos Dansby and Antrel Rolle defecting via free agency. When do the Cardinals spend some of that cabbage?!

-- Justin (Scottsdale, Ariz.)

A: Justin, first and foremost, Rod Graves and staff do a great job with personnel. The last thing they need is my help. But if I were the Cardinals' GM, I would have traded for Donovan McNabb. And I would call the Redskins now and find out what they would want for him, even though they just traded for him. And if they didn't want to give up McNabb, my next phone call would be to Pittsburgh to see what it would take to get Ben Roethlisberger. I'd want to reunite him with Ken Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm. One way or another, if I'm the Cardinals' GM, I'd want to shore up my quarterback position in a way that cannot be done through the draft, but only by a trade. And if neither of those scenarios developed, then I would immerse myself in the draft finding linebackers, pass-rushers and offensive linemen that can continue to make my team the best in the NFC West.

I guess my point is, that nothing would surprise me at this point. I do think they will ship several players out during the draft, and shipping quality starters out for mid-round draft picks doesn't give me a good feeling.

I am getting a strong feeling that they will ship guys out just to ship guys out, regardless of return.

My over/under on trades/players for us next week is 3, and I am inclined to take the over.

If I'm Rod Graves I'd call up the Redskins and ask for Jason Campbell

I'd love to see JC as a Steeler however the Steelers hold onto draft picks like their life depends on it.

^ Some combination of JC for Willie Colon would fix that draft pick stinginess. Throw in A.Montgomery to boot if need be. Pitt gets JC, we get a right tackle.
