Re: Offensive Coordinator

I think the offense makeover is going very well. Add another top-notch WR and we are set. Maybe some depth on O-line.

Doesn't even need to be top flight. I think we'd settle for productive. With Patten back and another productive guy we'd be set even with an injury.

I think the offense is fine.
The offense has indeed made enormous strides this year. What we need to see is a more consistent offense. One week our offense is lighting up defenses and the next, it's struggling to get rushing yards. I don't think the offense is fine, but it's pretty decent.

Re: Offensive Coordinator

The one guy who'd I'd love to see in a Redskins uniform to improve our offense would be TE Mercedes Lewis of UCLA. He's a good blocker, runs a 4.5 40, and is an excellent receiver. Can you imagine a two tight end set with Cooley and Lewis?

Unfortunately, he'll be gone by the time we pick (the last pick of the second round).

I think we've been pretty consistant in regards to the running game...especially the last several weeks of the season, but overall if the offense can show a little more consistency when it comes to scoring about 21 points per game, then we're golden. No matter what happens to us in the playoffs, we still have plenty to improve on, but we're going in the right direction. Changing the offense would not only be unwise, but counter productive.

Yea, the defender made a nice play on the ball he under cut the route, and tipped the ball to himself, tough to say whether or not Jacob's could have prevented it, the defender had a great angle to shield Jacobs away from the ball.

Re: Offensive Coordinator

Jacobs should grab the defender's facemask (and twist) to try to prevent the pick in that situation. It was a straight force by Brunell though. Gibbs keeps talking about how the best plays are the one's a quarterback doesn't make, etc. Well that was one of those. All he had to do was chuck it in the seats. I guess even experienced quarterbacks have limits to their patience.
