Just as unacceptable as throwing 2 early picks that lead to 14 easy points. Both situations lead to the loss. If that's kool-aid please pass the grape kind please. |

Re: Another poor play calling game by Gibbs
If this team stinks up pre-season again and goes 50%or under on wins next year will Gibbs still have a "pass" to coach the 5th season of his contract?
Looking at the Skins coaching moves last year, is the plan of Gibbs leaving this team after year 5 still make sense? Based on those coaching moves would Gibbs have to be a GM to make this year coaching moves stable for the Skins in the year after Gibbs retires? Lot of talk about the stability Gibbs brings, but is there stability once he leaves or moves out of the heading coaching job? Riggins on XXX radio (Dan Snyders station) asked these same questions to his in studio staff Friday Dec. 8th at 4:45 PM. He questioned the stability that Gibbs has brought or is bringing. So, what stability is Gibbs bringing to the Skins for the future of this team?

The only way for this to really be solved is winning. Gibbs has to turn this around in the next two years. |

Re: Another poor play calling game by Gibbs
I am new here but does anyone else wonder why we can't narrow our playcalling down to the plays we called in the first half of the game against the falcons. A healthy dose of either betts or portis and then go for the big play with santana. I realize that with campbell we will struggle(like we already have) but i believe that is what we need.

Re: Another poor play calling game by Gibbs
I don't know how anyone here can really pay any attention to anything 61cad says. He made a big stink over the cap hell we'll be in if we don't get the CBA deal done in the off-season, and has yet to acknowledge that he didn't realize the deal was extended last spring (through 2011). So he's being negatvie just for the sake of being negative.

Re: Another poor play calling game by Gibbs
Why is that? Just like what Matty said, it's what he does while he's here. He's trying every avenue possible to get this team back to good standings. Everybody bitched, moaned, and complained about needing an offensive coordinator, so that's what Gibbs did. Gibbs took a back seat and an "hands off" approach to this year, and because of it, we're 4-9. In retrospect, we would've been much better off not hiring Saunders and just adding the talent we needed to run Gibbs' offense. I suspect Gibbs will take a more hands on approach next season, and I believe we will benefit from him doing so.
