So far this year we have been competitive. I personally am going to enjoy that fact for what it is.
People are accusing me of not being happy with a win when I'm just keeping stuff in one of the two perspectives that matter. But hey, I could go back to the naive times when I thought we were going to make it after the 2008 season and hopelessly optimistic for every game, because that seems like the only way to not get ostracized.

With respect, I offer that there is a third perspective available in the middle between extremes.

Nope, only two. How close they are to a Super Bowl now and how close they are to a Super Bowl in the near future.

I believe we're going to pull off a Denver and be almost guaranteed to make it there in three years. WE WILL WIN ONE BEFORE THOSE CAPS WIN A CUP.

Agreed. There's a rational side in there between the two extremes.

Yes, the "Jason Campbell" perspective in which we hype up everything and brush aside flaws after win and go all emo after a loss. When the team goes 8-8, you'll see the hype is all for naught.

I wouldn't have a big problem with 8-8. A 4 game improvement? I'll take that.

Where is all this hype you keep talking about?? Seems like you're talking to yourself on that.

JC isn't here man, move on.

Re: Redskins-Packers, Best and Worst

Me keeping things in perspective does not mean I did not get a thrill from beating the Packers when Gano drilled it through the uprights. That doesn't mean that I'm going to turn a blind eye to all the flaws on the team Apparently, you all can't seem to get that.

Re: Redskins-Packers, Best and Worst

You're obviously not paying attention if you think everyone but yourself is ignoring our flaws.

"Just be happy with the win" heavily implies the that emotional state is all that matters.
