The signing bonus is key.

Re: Skins Signed Randle El

I just left a signing with Doug Williams, John Riggins and Mark Rypien. For me to hear this is just what we needed because Dallas is close to signing T.O. and that puts us in the position to scoring 5 TD per game. I bet our offense won't be lowest scoring team this year.

The signing bonus is important but I didn't hear what it was gonna be for either of them. Also how long does the signing get to be prorated out with the new CBA?

My initial feeling is that they have overpaid for both. How do you pay them more than Moss?

They probably did overpay but it helps sure up a big hole and it gives mr. saunders more toys. Also Moss got his deal done before he had ever put the type of numbers he put up in 2005. I wouldn't be suprised to see Moss renegotiate in the couple of years.

Ideally you don't have to restructure. This would bug me if I was Moss.

It would bug me too if I was Moss but maybe he and the rest of the team that was together for last years playoff run know that this is needed to win a championship. The guys seemed to be very open to restructure their contracts to keep the team intact so maybe Moss will be ok with it for now. Isn't he represented by the evil drew rosenhaus, if so.....UH OH!!!

Re: Skins Signed Randle El

if the skins signed randle el 6 years for 31 mil, as they say, then i think we definitely overpaid. He's just a slot receiver. True, he does return punts and he can occasionally throw the ball, but that's still too much. i wouldn't be suprised if moss becomes unhappy with his contract now.

Quite an array of weapons, Patten played like a fourth wideout last year and Jacobs had enough chances. I haven't read a full thread in a while, but ahem, cough, dare the youngster get a chance?

Why would Santana become unhappy. Thats rediculous. He's not that kind of guy anyway. But still, santana went from a dissapointment in NY to a beloved, HIGHLY PAID, player in DC. Many people said we overpaid for him last year, and he didn't hesitate to sign that contract. so in essense, i dont see santana getting upset.

Me too...Lloyd has me WAY more excited! I think hes gonna be a SICK #2, with Randle-El catching passes in the slot, reverses, WR screens/passes and returning punts.

Wow.
