ok i like the way you explained yourself but since when does sean taylor not have good cover skills the problem is in 06 he had no safety help so he had to try to do everything himself in 05 and in his rookie season in 04 he had ryan clark everyone remember him to help out what he needs is someone in the secondary to take all the pressure off of him what peoples problem is that they expect him to break records every week so anything less is considered failure but look at the top ballhawking safties in the league they all have someone helping in the secondary no one is doing it alone ed reed- chris mccalister, samari rolle brian dawkins- lito shepard, sheldon brown troy polamalu- had chris hope when he was gone troy struggled a bit even though he made the pro bowl but getting a safety somewhere somehow or one of our corners becoing shutdown is key for us in 2007

On the flipside, trade down with Carolina (who are reportedly trying to trade Jenkins again) and pick up Carriker. True, he's not the pass rusher Adams or Moss is but playing LDE he'd tie up two guys and let Washington make a million tackles against the run. Teams would have to run at Carter instead and would find Taylor and McIntosh lurking behind him. |

I know Blache has ties to him, hell, he's the one who drafted him, but I don't think that alone is a sufficent reason to bring him in here.

The problem with that is no matter who we get in return, we have to pay them like the 6th pick in the draft. It'd be better just to trade the pick down so that we can get a lower draft spot, and more bang for our buck.

What pick is Okoye projected to be in the draft? After reading that article today I'm sold on him.

Re: Skins stuck at No. 6?
Woah woah, we don't need another DT? Really? Salave'a and Griffin played poorly last year, and we really don't have anything substantial behind them. Sure Montgomery and Golston showed promise, but I would say DT is one of, if not our top need.
And why should we get Charles Johnson? The only way we'd take him is if we somehow acquired a 2nd round pick and didn't chose a D-lineman with our 1st rd pick (trust me, the Samuel trade ain't gonna happen). I haven't seen Johnson rated any higher than the 8th or 9th D-lineman in the draft.
