Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview
Jimmy Johnson didn't do anything when he came back with the Dolphins.
I heard he's been out of the NFL coaching loop since he's left and he's a huge cowboy puller. If we go with this guy there should be riots.

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview
Devil's Advocate (and just because there is nothing else to talk about): JG was out of coaching from '92-'04 and had nothing to do with football. Danny was able to talk him back in. JJ is the kind of big name that he loves.

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview
But are they sold on GW as it is? Does a guy who has been at Redskin Park for 4 years really need to interview 4 times? Would the decision process take this long? I don't know but things are getting strange if, in fact, GW is the #1 guy.

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview
Let's put the pieces together here:
Glazer said yesterday, BEFORE the Packers-Giants game, that the Redskins had a mystery candidate scheduled for an interview on Monday. We couldn't possibly have an interview scheduled with a Packer coach or a NYG coach BEFORE the game started, because we hadn't yet found out who won the game. And as we know, you can't interview until the coach is out of the playoffs. Let's assume for a second that Glazer was right in saying we had an interview scheduled for today. Big assumption, but let's assume it anyway. We also know that Redskins One went to Green Bay today. So... who is in Green Bay, who is also not a Giant coach, and is also not a Packer coach? And given Dan Snyder's penchant for the splash, and given that he brought Gibbs back under cloak and veil in 2004... It's Jimmy Johnson.

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview
No doubt. Like someone else posted we've got the best DC in the league IMO, and a highly intellegent, motivated, respected man. Let's stop the BS and hire him before he starts getting offended.

Re: Hmm...Mystery HC Candidate to Get Interview
The PFT rumormill seems to think it's a college coach. Maybe Pete Carrol? Charile Weis?
